Red gently set her paw back on the grass with a wince. "Well...I guess it is because I never really was in a pack or had parents. I was on the run a lot. I have nicknames from packs I have passed but that is it." She flicked her ears and switched her eyes from him to the lake.

Dae listened for the howl and headed for it. Finding his mate he licked her nose and shook out his pelt. "Didn't know where you wandered off to." He smiled and nipped at her ear. Glancing about he yawned and stretched.

Axel nodded slightly, "What do you call yourself?" He asked as he sat down again, a little closer to the Fae this time. He gave a warm smile and placed his paws in the cool water, wriggling his toes slightly as he did. He shut his eyes and felt the water ripple around his paws.

"The nickname I hear most is Red Spirit. I guess I call myself Red." She had began to trust Axel. The rest of the pack was not really trustworthy in her mind yet. Especially not the alpha. Red flickdd her tail, shifting her small paws as he sat closer. "I never hang around a pack long enough to get a real name or meet anyone." She said quietly and looked back to the water.

"That's a shame." Axel murmured softly, his ear flicked slightly as an eagle sounded in the near distance. He glanced up at the sky and exhaled deeply, "I'm sure you're missed." he said as he looked back down at her. His tail gave a random little flick of happiness.

Red paused as he said she was missed. "I don't know about that. I started running when I was about two and a half. My pack was out for me. Other packs will generally chase me out too." She said softly with a flick of her large ears. She still remembered the day.

"Oh." Axel murmured softly, his ears fell back against his head. He let out a long sigh and turned to smile at her, "Maybe things will be better here?" he asked. He turned his head back to the river and stared at the few fish that sped past his paws.

Red followed his gaze to the water and lied down, her paw touching the surface. "I hope so. I started searching for something in a pack but I have not found it yet." The small red female flicked her tail and looked towards him. Sitting up, she countered the questions. "So what about you?"
