Ｈｏｌｄｅｎ & Ｐａｒａｖａｔｉ ~

paravati had a way of making her presence known. and thats just what i liked in a girl, someone who wasnt afraid to show off those flying colors. she was always willing to make a statment, become the center of attention and anywhere outside the seven kingdoms, she was excellent at it, let me assure you. she would circle overhead, up so high you could barely take notice of her slender, scaley shape. and then, she would spiral downwards, each turn giving you a better imagery of her. and she would cry, not of pain or such, but of announcment, letting anyone within earshot know she was coming. and when she was just overhead, she would then peer down at you, in a manner though that made her icy blue stare seem as if she had taken the time out of her busy scedule just to look at you and get your appearance. and then she would land, releasing once last cry before folding up her wings and sharing a smile.

and thats just what she did now. by now, a good ninty percent of the third kingdom was used to it, but there was always a few who'd heard about par and her seeming threatening manner but never seen, and there was always at least one who'd never even heard of her and well, she was happy to make their aquaintance. but that was just my girl, fearless and bold, ready to take on the world. but this was only around those of town. when it was just the two of us high in the sky or wandering on the cliffsides or forests, she was her natural, easy going self. it was strange how she changed based off who she was around and her surroundings. but hey, i wasnt about to judge. i did the same and im positive everyone around me did too.

once everyone around the market had fled, i rubbed par between her nostrals. she sighed in approval and if she had been meer dog, she would have been wagging her tail, and even now she probably would have if it werent for her tail windings through the paths of the market. i climbed atop her, arms now accostumd to the climb to the point that i no longer needed a boost or a nudge of assistance. settling myself between her shoulder blades, she took off, and so effortlessly it felt. the wind just rolled right over her wings, and as she gathered height and picked up speed, the harsher the wind became on my face. when the force became too much, i crouched down, using her slender head as a shield from it. paravati didnt seem to mind the least bit. as if she guessed it, i soon found we were flying over one of the other kingdoms, the one right across the bay. i looked down, and inspite knowing i was too high up to see details, i found myself looking for her. "hey, par! you dont think she's down there, do you?" paravati gave a small ear flick in reponse and she almost reminded me of my mother, scolding me while she was trying to concentrate. par got so serious while flying, but by a consistant group of glances below, i knew she was looking too. because with her came him, her handsome white dragon. paravati was as much in love as was i.

Ｅｌｌｅ & Ｓｏｕｌｉｃｅ ~

soulice had always had a way of knowing when my mood was offset. this was why i had favored him over the other pups in his litter. he had known when i was finished with the lavished kisses, done playing fetch. it was as if he had read my mind. and for that, i was gratful. not because i didnt have to go out of my way to make it obvious, but that someone cared enough to reflect their own mood off of mine. and you know what? when i was down, he didn't bother to ask why. he just let me wallow in it until i was ready to take on life again. and he was good at that. he was really good.

i found my hands gripping soulice's neck fur tighter, but i didnt know i had been grabbing them so tight. the pale wolf let out a small howl in pain, high pitched but curt, and dug his back paw pads into the dirt he had been running on. i found myself lurched forward, almost to a point where i was about to be tossed over his broad head. but it was when he pulled up his head that i ceased, settling back into position between his shoulder blades. he looked up at me, eyes as thick and black as a shark's. but they werent empty. no, they were far from it. they showed his ability to sense and his concern for it all. his eyebrows arched upwards. "yeah, buddy i'm fine. it's nothing." he let out a small snort, lifting his maw up. he wasn't buying my story the least bit.

i swung my left leg over, sliding down his side and landing in the dirt. a very faint cloud of dust appeared, leaving a light trace on my boots. my wolf eased himself slowly into a crouch just before flopping down into the shade of a large sycamore. me snuggled his broad form inbetween a few roots and rested his maw apon his paws, looking at me expectantly. with a small sigh, i sat leaning against a tree across from him, fiddling with a couple rocks as i spoke. "he's from another kingdom, soul. there's nothing i can do about it. but... we have so much in common! he's a wolf rider as well and i know every rider has a bond between whoever they ride but his is like ours. its unique, i swere to the seven kingdoms on it. they treat eachother like their one... oh don't give me that look. remember who controls how well of food you're served." i tossed the rock aside, watching it tumble before settling amonst a windmade pile of leaves. soulice let out a huff of breath before curling up tigher, back against the autumn winds, eyes closing to make up for the lack of sleep he'd had last night. i leaned back my head, resting it against the bark. as i drifted into my own slumber, my conscious got ahold of my mouth. "i just wish to see him again."
