Badger let his ears flick as a couple more stallions approach him and the mare. "I am Badger and who might you be?" he questioned as his eyes drifted to the other stallions. They seemed interested in the mare he was with and if they wanted to talk with her, then that was fine with him. He would simply take his place under the tree again. Badger swished his tail and took a small step back, not wanting to get into another fight with another stallion. The mare he had only just met seemed different than what he had expected, she was sweet and not afraid to approach anyone like Badger thought. He pawed at the ground, leaving a small dent in the earth; his eyes drifted to look down at it then he looked at the three kelpies that were now around.

"We're all just stories in the end."

Kass' rouge right ear returned to focusing on the paint stallion before her when no more sounds behind her could be heard. Her head tilted to her left a bit as he said his name, Badger. Presumably, he was named after his black and white markings. She'd never met a badger, the animal, but had heard of them. In the corner of the bayou the old man lived in, stories spread like wildlife. Whether or not those stories were true was an entirely different matter.
She blinked, long and slow, as he asked her name in return. "Kassandra." She told him, her voice regaining a bit of its normal gruffness as he took a step back. Her ears flicked back to listen behind her and she huffed, lips flapping and eyes narrowing. Stallions, so full of nervous energy and also full of complex mysteries. But, she supposed Badger was right to be wary. The two behind her could potentially be hostile, as most things in the swamps were. However, they hadn't done much yet, so no assumptions could be made.

His attention was draw to his sister as she decided to join in the game of tag. He continued to chase after the colt that had tagged him though, deciding he would get her next time around if he was tagged. Crixus continued running, tossing his head in the process, enjoying the wind whipping at his mane, he kinda wished his mother was around to see them but he didn't linger on the thought and instead continued to gain on his target.

Altair was wandering around the Bayou when she saw a kelpie."Hmm i havent seen another Kelpie around here before"she said to herself keeping a distance. She was trying to be quite but then she stepped on a branch and it made it crack.She looked down then back up at the stallion"Well there goes trying to be quite"

Daryan sat in the clearing, his long neck bending over
to munch on the long salty grass of the Bayou.

His ears picked up the slight sound of a branch snapping,
and he raised his head casually in mid chew.
He swallowed happily at the sight of the little mare.

Altair swished a piece of mane from her face and looked at the stallion. She trotted over to him"Umm hey"she said studying him. When she got to his horns she noticed that the spikes are blue. She tilted her head a little.
