Felid History and Info

Years ago, a scientist came to a forest with many strange creatures in it. She opened a reserve for these "Flying Forest" creatures, and began to capture and sell the felids in the habitat.

Felids are rare creatures that usually have feathers on their back and long tufts on their paws for gliding. They have soft curly fur and rather plumy tails. Felids can be smart, but they are usually silly and not at all self conscious. Felids feed on flying ferrets, flying squirrels, and sugar flyders. They live in large nests in furfur trees and travel by gliding from tree to tree to avoid the Felis Fleshtraps that cover the forest floor. Some smart felids can capture and keep fluffers, bunnylike creatures, as pets.

Adoption Rules

Adoptions:
Most felids are free, although some may cost something (not much, though). You may only have two freebie felids at a time, but as many paid ones as you want. The only difference between paid and freebie felids are their skill levels.

Freebie felids have skill levels from 1-5, paid felids have skill levels from 6-8. Very rare or special felids may have skill levels 9-10. Don't worry about the skill levels too much though, they'll only be significant in breeding and sometimes felid hierarchy.

To adopt a freebie felid, follow the instructions on the felid's page. It will usually not be too difficult (coming up with a name, etc.)

Fluffers are the pets of felids. Fluffer adopts are not open yet. :3

Fluffers:
Fluffers are the pets of felids. They are small bunnylike creatures about the size of a fist.They are highly intelligent creatures that hide in the burrows that they dig under the furfur tree roots, as they feed off furfur sap. They also keep as much distance as possible from the felis fleshtraps and the rampaging flying horses that feed on them, preferring to stay in the safe underground. Sometimes, a more adventurous fluffer may venture out of it's burrow for fun or for furfur fruit. Furfur fruit is a delicious furry fruit that has soft, succulent, sweet flesh with a distinct flavor (fluffers consider this a rare surface treat). A felid may happen to spot a fluffer (felids rarely see fluffers), and capture it to keep it as a pet. The more intelligent a fluffer is, the harder it is to catch (fluffers usually don't like to be caught, but usually become nice pets once they are). Fluffers may be introduced once more felids are adopted.

"Flying Forest" flora and fauna:
Flora:
Furfur Tree: Very, very tall trees with furry bark, furry leaves, and delicious fruit. Felids use the bark and leaves to make nests.
Felis Fleshtraps: Vicious, dangerous plants that nip on animals that are unfortunate to pass by. They can move very slowly, but can make a sudden swift movement to bite an animal.
Ferns: leafy vegetation that the Rampaging Horses feed on when no felis fleshtraps are near.
Fairette Tree: a small, silver barked tree that has different colored berries. They are often used in potions and usually avoided by animals.

Fauna:
Felid: catlike creatures that have birdlike characteristics. They have long or short tails.
Fluffer: bunnylike creatures kept by felids as pets.
Rampaging Horse Beasts: vicious winged horses that eat felis fleshtraps.
Flying Ferrets: Large flying creatures eaten by the lower felids.
Flying Squirrels: Fast flying creatures that middle-hierarchy felids eat.
Sugar Flyders: Usually only the best of felids get to eat Sugar Flyders which are described as sweet and tender.

Potions!
Everyone loves potions, right? All felid potions are freshly brewed from scientist's laboratory.
Potions can change your felid or fluffer's appearance. All potion effects are irreversible, so take potions at your own risk! Some may even increase/decrease your felid's skill level.
