    WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!! <3

    --

question; what do you guys think of roleplays based off of books/movies? not just bits of the book/movie, but like the whole idea?

it depends. There are some worlds that are made that are just to amazing to pass up, and theres so much room for different plots. But I don't agree with roleplaying the direct plot/characters, or even the characters in seperate plots

I like borrowing bits and pieces from a book/movie. I'd never use the same characters, world, and general plot, but the same characters and world with a different plot would be fine. Or the same sort of plot and world with different characters would be fine too.

It's a balance, you know? Too much of one, not enough of another... and I am uncomfortable using the original characters if I add significant new ones. It seems a betrayal of the originals, unless done insanely well.
INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.

i was asking because i've seen some roleplays on here based off of books/movies, such as "out of time" [ i think you guys were talking about this roleplay a while back ].

Ew my typing skills on my phone are shocking! D:

@mint. -- so sorry! >< I will be doing a 'version two' of it once it concludes and I promise you a spot if you are interested (:

@rohirrim. -- I think you should do unique sins, but throw in some classics like 'envy' and 'greed'. Idk but 'gluttony' can be one, 'temptation' {does that work?} or 'discontent'. I've tried to list some different ones but I don't know if you were thinking about similar ones? Am I thinking on along the right lines?

@benexo -- I like to be inspired by books and movies, but sometimes if it's like fanfiction, for example, it can be too similar or different? I mean some fanfics have been critized for not portraying the characters properly. It's harder to put your own individuality on it c:

Oh my gosh, you guys are so behind me, it was roughly ten hours ago that I had New Years! :D

It depends on which books/movies they are. Some of them I love having roleplays based off them, others I can't stand having roleplays based off that sort of thing. It's really a case by case basis for me.
