Lol yes. I stay up LATE into the night watching/reading them.
I just realized; in FotR (the movie), they leave out the entire cover-up of Frodo's leaving, and when he goes to Buckland! And, if I'm not mistaken, Merry and Pippin go with Frodo and Sam from the start in the book, right? They don't meet him out on the road.
In fact, now than I think about it, they changed a LOT.

Here is a link to the drawing of Smaug; the picture is too big to attach. I did not do his golden hoard because i feel like that would take attention away from the Great Wyrm himself. I didn't do shading because i can't shade! Sorry it is not well drawn, but you can tell who he is.

Yes, they did.
I prefer the books - I always do. I'm just such a sucker for books and the original work. But that doesn't mean I don't like the movies.
But I still wish that they had the scouring of the Shire in RoTK, as otherwise it seems that Sauron wasn't powerful enough to reach the Shire, so it just sat there unaffected. Also, you don't find out what happened to Saruman otherwise and Merry and Pippin don't become famous in the Shire.
