I know that Tolkien has a very unique if a little more sloe-paced writing style than most of the authors people are used to these days, but I never thought of it as boring ^^
However everyone has their own opinions! Out of curiosity, what put you off, Haytham and Festus?

It just felt like the start dragged on a bit, explaining about the Hobbits and Bilbo and all that. I'm starting to like it better though, as I go on. :)
