Yeah but regular swords do not work on Nazgul- in the book the Nazgul king was destroyed by a sword from the Barrow-Wight's den!
Hurmmm....I need to go back and re-read the books. But I do seem to have a slight recall of it.

(lol I'm rereading them right now. I literally have The Fellowship open right now)
I don't know which I prefer. It's true the books are more imaginative and have more to them, but the movies are spectacular on their own. The movies are actually how I got interested (I tried reading the books, but my grandma HAD to get me the unabridged versions, and I ended up reading the same paragraphs five times over, and then I gave up. But recently I got a three-in-one volume on my kindle (abridged) and it's much better. I can add notes and stuff, too XD (rambling)). So yeah.
I thought Tom Bombadil was cool, but there was something about him that.... um.. I don't know, scared me a little, I think.
check out this band!
here's another song!

I finished the first Chapter of the Fellowship, and I almost died of boredom, SO MUCH DESCRIPTION! OH MY GOODNESS!! I'm sure it get's much better later on though, so I'll try again.
Feel free to pm me about anything. And I mean anything, even if you think it's weird or awkward. I'm weird and awkward so....

It's just an expression, it means that they were extremely bored.
The first time i read the Fellowship of the Ring i absolutely loved every line of it! I guess it's up to your own opinion and because i've always loved the lord of the rings

I got this toy when i was very young, its probably about 7 yrs old, and its of gollum. He's like a 'doll' with changeable heads and theres 2 buttons on his rock (which his feet click onto and is kind of a stand i guess) and one gives phrases of smeagol and the other of Gollum. It's so cool i'll have to post a pic sometime

(and my first, and only, two dogs were called frodo and gollum)

I'm aware that its just an expression

what I meant was I do not understand how someone could find the book boring.

I have an idea, though. Did you read the preface? If you did, SKIP IT.
