I always require a writing sample when I open group role plays. I don't care how long your skeleton is, it doesn't prove your literacy. I don't even like making/reading through my own dastardly long character skeletons, why would I want to read through yours?

The length policing on skeletons has become ridiculous. I didn't get accepted to a role play because they wanted me to expand on something under the "name" and "eye colour" sections. The kid has amber eyes; I already gave you, like, three sentences about that. And why do you need to know anything else about his name other than his name? It's superfluous fluff. If you want to know about it name, then, oh, I don't know, interact with the character in the role play, maybe?

Yeah, a little late on this train. Oh well.

@Asian; I must admit, I sometimes do wip posts(oddly enough only in group roleplays), but that's only because I will lose it otherwise, I don't want to do a lot, only to have to do it over, and over again(this has happened to me so many times it's not funny). It depends at the time, and how the technology I use to post is behaving.
I don't think I put fluff in my posts....I just write a lot, it's all relevant stuff...(I hope)
I almost always do wip forms, if I don't, I lose it (evil laptop's fault), but then I always fill it out, no matter what.
If only I knew where to really put the semi colon (pretty sure you said something about that somewhere)...I have actually never been taught where to put it, and I don't like asking for help for anything, and while I put it where I think it should go (going off how some of my favourite books use them), I do probably put them in the wrong spot.

i have more comments to add to the discussion but i attempted to write them down and they didn't make any sense, so i'm only quickly just going to answer to tals; i've realised now - after reading your post - that in my own post i didn't say i had fun. i mean, i do. i love writing (any type, even essay writing i love because i'm that messed up) and writing illiterate or literate i enjoy it. and looking back through my posts - to the beginning - i can see that then i wrote at least two sentences and hardly ever one liners. and it was never anything like *smiles* "you're awesome" *hugs him and laughs* (like i see sometimes now) but it was actual sentences. written in first person but still. i do enjoy writing the long replies and i do find it fun but the stress lessens the fun sometimes and you find yourself worrying and blanking out all the fun stuff. this is what i do anyway xD

I was never like that either, I just write how I do in 'real life' anyway, though modified a bit to suit roleplay purposes, I don't know why(or how they think it's ok) people write like that, it's worse than text posts in my opinion.
I don't think you did say before that you have fun, you're right. I don't know how I do it, but while I worry, and stress, I can't really stress out on CS ever, or at any other time when I'm writing. It seems sort of impossible for me to do so.

of course they all look nice. what, do you think i have bad taste or something? my taste is amazing; they are all gorgeous and wonderful and perfect. one - two - three - four - five - six - seven it's harder for me to find blondes...you type in 'blonde gif' and it just spews out louds of girls with long hair laughing or whatever. you have to know the actors names and i know more brunettes ^^

edit;; only just saw your post tals, sorry xD you like essay writing? *high-fives* oh the irony and i find that style of writing worse as well. in my opinion it isn't writing at all. and i stress a lot, about everything because of some stuff that happened when i was in primary school. and the first few years of secondary school too, come to think of it...
