Bluetail listened as he gasped for breath. She could feel Rainclaw lean more against her in his weakened state. She was fine, until he spoke.

The name he uttered brought a swell of anger and hurt to curl in her gut, and she stopped dead from walking. The world seem off-kilter, and she could feel herself sway on the spot.

"...What?"

Her voice was tiny with fear and insecurity, but her body trembled in agitation and frustration.

Leopardfur is the reason why Rainclaw tried to kill himself, it's Leopardfur's fault Rainclaw nearly died...Leopardfur, why?!

She stared at Darkpelt, her swirling anger and confusion and hurt were seen in her big blue eyes. She was lost for words, her emotions conflicting inside her, and she really didn't know how to feel or what to say to make the situation any better.

"Darkpelt...It's...Leopardfur..." her voice trailed off into numbed and shocked silence.

Rainclaw heaved, his sides went into a painful spasm, he gritted his teeth and bared it. His heart pounded with the effort of walking and he soon stopped, laying down.

Darkpelt grew suddenly confused when Bluetail met his gaze and told him who had threatened Rainclaw. Leopardfur? But why would she try to get in the way of Bluetail and Rainclaw? It makes no sense. He furrowed his brow as he helped the two cats to the medicine den, sitting down just inside. He glanced at Bluetail, motioning that he wanted to talk with Rainclaw alone for a moment. He turned to the tom and frowned, ears flattened. "Rainclaw, I promise... I didn't tell Leopardclaw to say those things to you. I don't know why she said that, but if I had known I would have never allowed it. I swear upon StarClan." He meowed very seriously.

Rainclaw nodded "I know." he whispered looking at the floor "But I guess she's right, I don't mean anything to anyone so why am I here." he added as he sheathed and unsheathed his claws.

Darkpelt frowned. "No, I can see the way Bluetail acts around you." He said, offering a small smile. "You mean a lot to her, I know you do. Don't put yourself down that way." The tom forced the words out, even though he knew they were true.

Rainclaw looked at the ground, now unsure if any of that was true. He stared at the floor "Can I speak to her?" he mumbled.

Leopardfur shook her fur as it begun to lightly drizzle. She begun to head backk home not wanting to get wet. About half way back she could smell a fox sent but thank goodness that it was stale. As the she-cat slowly entered camp she scanned the terrain looking for any friends of foes. She padded to her den lightly growling as the rain hit her head.
