At my primary school ( I'm British so we have a different system) they had the older kids ( year 5 and 6 ) read to all the little kids ( in the Lower class) I read very fast out loud. Plus, I'd forgotten how dull the books were. My pet monster, was one that this girl loved. But now I'm in high school, I don't read aloud anymore.

Top Ten Favorite Books: (In no particular order)
Guardians of Ga'Hoole: The Capture
The Seekers books I've read (ie; the first three). Can't decide on a favourite.
Animorphs series; I've only read #1, #4, #5, #9, #18 and part of #6. Again, I can't decide on a favourite.
To Be a Cat
The Longest Whale Song
Sky Hawk
White Dolphin

I can't think of anything else. x3
Oh, by the way, I'm a non-fiction nerd.
Average amount of time it takes you to finish a book: 3-7 days
How many of the above symptoms you regularly experience:
You bring a book to lunch most days. (LOL I usually bring a book that I own to school since besides Animorphs there's not that many books I like there)
You read so late into the night that you lose track of time, and end up staying up till like three AM. (I go to bed at like 8PM but sometimes stay up until like 9PM reading)

(By the way, I've seen some of the posts before this - @The Growling Wolf: Same at my school.)

Neither am I.

Last school year, one of my friends tried Animorphs #1, but to her it didn't make sense. This school year, my best friend is reading Animorphs #18. And she likes it.

My school has only the first Animorphs book so I didn't read more from the series.

Hippolyta wrote:Also, does anyone else always read the last page of a book before the end? I always, always read the last page of a book about 1/8 to 1/3 of my way through it. I've ruined so many books this way!

I do that most of the time - saves me from buying books with endings I don't like and it doesn't make the story less interesting for me (but sometimes I also endure a stupid ending, because I like main part). And when I'm reading I sometimes become impatient or think some pages are boring, when I read some pages ahead and they sound interesting I feel more excited to read the next pages then, because I want to get there.
I used to be online a lot here, but I became bored of this site and I don't like some of the rules here.
Now I'm pretty busy as well. You can still try to message me though, I might be online again now and then : )

>.< New thread!

I always check the ending first, it's a habit I got from my friend. It doesn't really spoil much for me, because I'm super cautious and look up books on the internet, so I know which ones to buy. I'm a picky reader.
I got the whole inheritance cycle series for Christmas, so I'm pleased!

Oh, have you read the books before, or are they new to you?

Is it just me or as I have gotten older I find it harder and harder to ever read aloud? I used to do it for hours for a younger friend when I was little and just learning how to read, but now the instant I start my voice gets scratchy, and I want to stop.

{I think it's just you X3
I like to read out loud and by myself, but I don't like it when others read to me.
I just cannot stand it. ><

I'ts called Crush, and it's a really good book. :D
It's worth the $3, trust me.
