Not imaginary friends, but in Tale of Two Cities (stfu Dickens is awesome) there's an entire chapter on how Sydney Carton is like a jackal, which he would be as a daemian as far as I can tell, though I'm not sure he'd have the ego for it. Not for the kiddies (and by that I mean stuff it didn't say anything about on the synopsis but I found out rather quickly about halfway through XD), but I read a book which had corporeal wolf-daemon type things. Hum, that's all I can think of right now.

Any Discworld books with Agnes Nitt always astonish me with their dæmian-y quotes. There was one about how if you give the voice in your head a name it gains a personality of its own, and lots of similar things. Unfortunately I don't have any of the books with her in it :(
HI JUUUUULES. AND TAZ :D I have been out knitting all morning and will do thingies after lunch :B

"Gray fox contribute to the overall health of prey species by keeping the prey species controlled. They are usually very beneficial to man because of their preference for wild foods. "
Any thoughts as to how this could be interpreted?
I'm not meaning to be a bum by not giving my own, but mine are always wrong...XD
I really like gray fox. >.>

OOH. ME. PICK ME.
I'd say something about how you end up helping people even though you don't go out of your way to do so, either inadvertently or just doing what you would normally do. If aHyone else wants to take a guess, go ahead XD
Hiya, by the way. AND HI ZOE.

I actually wouldn't analyze that? All animals that eat other animals (you could even argue herbivores) inevitably control the population of their prey. It's a coincidence that the food they eat is considered a pest by humans of the culture they are near. Some cultures do eat rats, and wouldn't like competition. It's not something the animal does consciously or to be admired ;D.

I think Kathleen brought up a similar thing a while ago in Quick Interpretations and nothing was resolved. It was about frugivores and seed dispersal. Binties are pretty important that way, they're the only animals that can eat the strangler fig seeds (yay for my favourite tree-icidal tree :D). But yeah, I have no idea and would also probably leave it.

Howdy all. :3
I've been lurking here for like three days, trying to decide whether or not to join in on this fun thread since all the TDfers that scare me are here. >_> I'm from over on TDF, where my username is Sheepdog, but please call me Kay. (Or Chaos, if you really want to) My daemon of one year is Twiarryn-Ciar, but he goes by Ari the majority of the time, and he's quite close to settling as a border collie (Hence my username).
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, as long as I don't run off forum with my tail between my legs. xD
