For those who were interested, I've completed the form section for I Spy, so if anyone wanted to work on it before the topic is open { ready to be pm'ed to me } you are welcome to. It doesn't have to be very descriptive, I just want something brief yet explanatory of his/her situation. I'd like to start immediately once the spots are filled and the topic is finished ^^

      Edit -- coding fail.

Okay, I think I've learned my lesson about reserving slots instead of waiting for my form to be complete, no matter how fast I'm writing it. ><

Also, do you guys have a bunch of characters you never used because the RP for them died? I have so many it's not even funny now. xD

{{ @The flawed characters conversation:
I love flaws so much. I don't know what it is about them, but I really just like giving my characters large amounts of flaws. It's always been fun roleplaying them, but my favourite flaw is definitely roleplaying a character that's blind. One of my favourite original characters I use to roleplay with is blind.
Fast fact: I'm legally blind, and have been for years. It sucks. ouo

^Also on the flawed character's conversation

To be honest, they're kinda fun. They generally give you an opportunity to Rp things you haven't done before. For awhile -not on CS- I had a blind character who had trouble walking. He always pretended everything in his life was terrible, walking across a room was agony even though it was actually painless for him, and so and so forth, to get people to do things for him. He would also ask for people's things a lot. ^^ Rather fun to Rp.

You have to be careful making characters too flawed, though, particularly in group role plays, lest you be accused of wanting all the attention.
Though, on the topic of making ugly characters, or mean characters, or what have you:
Firstly, beauty is extremely subjective, so there are plenty of characters out there that I'm sure other people find ugly or unattractive, while the creator is swooning. And I have quite a few characters that never get associated with in group role plays because their personalities don't exactly fall under the "friendly" umbrella, so people tend to avoid them. I've also found that people are afraid to play evil characters; the evil ones always have some excuse, or they're just misunderstood and all they need is someone with a big heart to turn them around. I have one character in particular who is just evil for the sake of being evil. He's a psychotic, sociopathic, narcissistic sadist who is incapable of falling in love.

Back to the flaws for a moment, I have to two characters, brothers, who have mental disorders. The older brother has had paranoid schizophrenia since he was a child, which is extremely rare. The younger brother developed a plethora of other mental disorders, biblomania and EDNOS included. But the younger brother is often turned away from role plays because I'm told he has too many disorders and blah, blah, blah. I have another character who is turned down a lot because he is conceited to the extreme (mind you, he's supposed to personify Vanity), and he has a negative body image and does drugs and other nasty stuff to stay thin.
So, yeah, apparently there's such a thing as a character that is too flawed in the role playing community.

{{ ^That's something I don't quite understand.

I understand there's such a thing as too flawed, but yet, there are people who are like that. My great uncle for example. He had (from what my family has decided to choke up about him) paranoid schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and manic depression. He was sent to a mental institution for attempting murder three times. With this knowledge it just seems so... Strange to me that that's considered 'too flawed'. But, then again, I've been subjected to mental disorders all my life since it runs so thick in my family that it just seems a bit "normal" to me.

I dunno. I could just be overreacting and being too huffy about it. Everyone has different opinions about what is too flawed and what isn't, just like everyone has different opinions on beauty, love, and what's moral and what isn't. //shrug

I just make people. There are no perfect people, so I don't make them. There are combinations of flaws and troubled pasts that are impossible for someone to get through, cope with, and remain passably sane, so I don't make them.

Flawed, not flawed, who cares? Just make realistic human beings. *shrug*

No, I agree with you. I strive to make unique characters, but characters that are also realistic, people that I could actually imagine meeting. So my brain just explodes when I get told that there's too much "wrong" with my character.
