He has a knack of being able to decode even the strangest contraptions and learning to use them, handle them extraordinarily well in a short period of time. In most situations he can think of at least five different suitable weapons or devices you could use to solve a problem, which proves useful at most times.

Tom has the ability to move silently, to find the best hiding spots and find the weaknesses of things with ease, making him suitable for stealth work and information-gathering. He always uses his environment to his advantage, even when he isn't on a mission. When he is, he is the one to consult on the matter of possible strategic locations, logical assumptions and best ways to infiltrate a building in the less noticeable manner. ]

Instead of working out in the gym, he runs from 3-5 miles everyday to keep his stamina up, and practices Tai-Chi, which he believes helps him concentrate his mind and improves his control over his body, which is essential when on stealth missions. ]

[ Tom is a very straightforward character which does not enjoy the meandering paths of friendship and romantic interest in the American style; he does not believe he has to 'be pulled along' or has to 'string along' girls to like him. If they do, that's great. If they don't, tough luck. His black and white mindset makes it hard for him to hide some of his true emotions, resulting in him telling his interest that he likes her too early or not at the right time. This often causes confusion to girls, which would tend to avoid him afterwards, but Tom, even though hurt, will not linger too long. If it wasn't meant to be, it just wasn't.

He is heterosexual, and hasn't ever been in a relationship before as of his awkward manner of communicating his feelings. ]

[ The first word that describes Thomas personality wise is his ability to be cold-headed in almost any situation. He has trained himself to think rationally through any issues that present and finds it annoying when others can't do similar and jump to conclusions before hearing the whole story or receiving all the important information on a subject. However, this often makes him take too long to make decisions, making him a better strategist than on-site action person.

This doesn't mean he is particularly good when under pressure. He works well alone because he knows the stakes and doesn't need to be reminded of them. When working in a team, he often becomes irritated because he believes his partners are wildcards and that anything that doesn't depend on him can go wrong at any instant. Also, when things turn awry, he usually panics for a period of at least five minutes because he often does not account for such outcomes and does not know how to react, but then regains composure and returns to his logical mindset mentioned before.

He comes across as the cold guy, the uninterested one, the one that does not care for what surrounds him, the one that enjoys sarcasm and wit, and uses it way too often. He doesn't care. Nobody seems to care, therefore, why should he? He seriously can't be bothered anymore. It all just seems to be for show, and he doesn't enjoy it.

He holds respect to little to no-one, that small sliver left reserved only for those who manage to ignore his japes and stand up against him in a non-aggressive, non-reactive manner. It is only then when he begins to become a more 'normal' person, holding more stable conversations and beggining to be able to acknowledge other's points of view and beliefs, thoughts and opinions. He thinks little of those who succumb to his humour, but does not hold grudges for too long, rather beign a 'forgive but not forget' kind of person.

[ Tom was born into a wealthy but frayed family. His parents argued constantly, but Tom could not complain. He got taken care of and got his education payed. He travelled to and from his various family homes, learning how to speak polish, german, french and english fluently, sparing him the necessity of learning any extra languages except from russian, which he takes to easily.

On a flight to their holiday home in Poland, their plane crashed, killing almost the whole convo. Somehow, Tom managed to survive, maimed with a huge, almost 50cm laceration across his back. He was reported missing/dead as his body was never found on the site. Tom had simply wandered off, delusional, in search for help. He appeared a couple of days later in the city of Gdansk, having walked at least 20 kilometres to get there. He occupied the streets, wandering from one place to another, hoping to be fed scraps of food or given money by tourists. At some point, he was picked up by the agency, and here he is. Nobody would notice his disappearance. After all, he was supposed to be dead. ]

[ Dr.John Markov has two personalities: On the Job and Off the Job. Through years of building mental walls, he has nearly become a schizod with two people living in his head, but not quite. On the job is a cold, sociopathic automaton. He can put on nearly any mask. When interacting with people he has to fool, he is the perfect image of a good doctor: calm, serious, reassuring and completely devoid of any sense of humour. If he doesn't irritate them with his natural arrogance and rudeness, he could persuade absolute strangers to take a pill he gave them when he has this attitude. It's almost hypnotic. When simply listening, John slouches into a puddle of academic fog, taking in everything and filing it away in his memory. He attends lectures and meetings like this, a figure in formal clothes, hidden behind a pillar in the hall, his eyes glazed, listening to the speakers carefully. On the Job is not someone to underestimate. He's just a doctor? All he does is heal people? Think again. He is generally referred to as John.

Off the Job is very different. Markov never was allowed to grow up; he's a patchwork of childishness and age beyond his years. He loves nothing better than a picnic and laying in the sun watching the clouds. He enjoys making cookies, and is horribly naive about popular culture and reality outside of the walls of Blackstar's base. Off the Job, if he ran across a Tanha agent bleeding to death, would stop and help, and even sob while he bandaged them and did everything he could to save them. On the Job would finish the job with an injection of tranquillizer. Off the Job has nightmares at night of what he's done and what he hasn't done. He still sleeps with a security blanket. He's competent - not incredibly so, as On the Job is - and tries to get along well with people. He's sometimes self-deprecating, nearly infallibly polite, and often acts apologetic and uncertain. He has a good sense of humour, and can be quite charming when he's not bumbling about sticking his foot in his mouth.

Usually, which personality is dominate is dependant on the people he's around, and whether he perceives himself on a mission. Adrenaline, fear, and pain bring out On the Job, while comfort, happiness and relaxation brings out Off the Job. There's an uneasy alliance between the two personalities, which he developed in his teens with the help of his mentor at the time. On the Job takes care of Off the Job, and handles the part of the missions that hurt Markov. In return, Markov doesn't do anything stupid, takes excellent care of his health, and does his best to do his job to the best of his ability.]

[ On the Job has no quirks (except for a maniacal love for control, precision, and organization). He's just a way Markov is sometimes, a coldly rational and viciously devoted being. Off the Job, on the other hand, has plenty of quirks. He has a habit of leaving things in a complete mess, stopping to say hello to every cat he meets on his way to somewhere, and sleeping with a security blanket. He dislikes books, and prefers learning from computers, films, and actually doing something. He often times doesn't immediately recognize people he has met as On the Job. He's addicted to watching sitcoms about the outside world, and tends to think that those are what the real world is like. Sometimes, when he's particularly upset, you can find his alternating personas by messing his room up and tidying it back up, for no reason at all. ]

[ Poisons, injections and simply withholding his services. He is proficient with knives and carving people up in a way that only a doctor knows how to do well, but usually only if they hold still. He's not much at hand-to-hand combat, and prefers to remain on the sidelines and behind the scenes. He can blend in fairly well in a variety of environments, with perhaps more experience out in the field (if not actively working) than most of his peers, due to his training from a young age.) He speaks several languages fluently, and has a passing familiarity with a dozen more. However, he is not a fighter by nature, and will never be so. He is frightened of guns, and has a flinch response he can't control whenever firing one.]

[ Two birth parents: father in the US and mother in UK. Two adopted parents, large extended family of adopted children and their families that he hasn't seen since he was seven. Half-sister in the UK. ]

[ Markov is the child of an illicit affair between two highly intelligent professionals. He was given up for adoption by his mother - a doctor - who kept his existence and birth a secret from everyone. His last name, Markov, was actually his given name, written on the papers tucked inside his blanket. He was shunted into foster care for a while, and, when he was about five, he was adopted by an older couple - the Tennyson family - who had five adopted children of their own, mostly grown up by now. Unfortunately for him, he soon proved to be a prodigy at school, especially with regards to medicine. Blackstar wanted his potential for themselves, so they faked his death and kidnapped him from his family. He was seven years old at the time.

Blackstar renamed him, moving his first name to his last name, and adding a nondescript first name: John Markov. Ever since then, he's been forced to learn medicine as quickly as his growing brain could manage. After years of training, he was first sent out in the field at age ten, to assist his mentor. After several incidents which badly shook his sanity, he began developing a split personality. Markov was hidden away, and most people only interacted with John/On the Job. By age eleven, his split was beginning to show divergent memories (where one half of his personality couldn't remember what happened to the other half), and after an incident when he was twelve, he was sent into therapy.

The Psychos (as he calls them) were helpful, and although he dislikes them with a passion for the therapy they put him through, he credits a great deal of his own current functionality to them. However, most of the healing of his split personality was due to the mentor he was assigned to when he became a teenager. Dr. Riviera was a civilian doctor who consulted for Blackstar. He gave Markov his first real view of the world outside including a taste of freedom (the shattered Caduceus tattoo is from that time period) . He treated Markov as a person, not a machine, and was like a father to him. He taught him the Hippocratic Oath (which Markov took, but John did not), and helped him find the uneasy truce he currently has with On the Job.

Unfortunately, Blackstar severed the relationship by, when Markov turned sixteen, transferring him to a medical detail in the field again. The considered him sufficiently mentally healed enough to return to regular work. He was, sorta. John and Markov worked well, under supervision, and he found himself handling situations that would have been enough to send him into hysterias a few years ago. (They still added to his catalogue of nightmares though). He's been attached to a variety of competent military doctors for the past three years, travelling with them on all sorts of missions.

Recently, the medic he was assistant to was wounded in action. Markov saved his life, and while his superior was in the hospital, he recommended Dr. John Markov for promotion. Shortly thereafter, Markov found himself transferred to Blackstar HQ, and within a couple months joined his current team. This is the first squad he's been assigned to where he's in charge of medical assistance, as well as the first squad composed of people mostly his own age.]

[ ED - extraction and distraction. It started showing immediately; Tally was great at distracting people and wheedling stuff out of almost anyone. Maybe it was because she's pretty or maybe it's the way she talks. Whatever it is, people seem to like her and she uses it to her advantage. If they need someone to go ahead and look around; Tally's your girl, she can blend in and distract to ask about almost anything. She seduces and asks the question, she seduces and distracts them. Like The field is where she belongs really. Her other two main skills are her disguises and shooting. Everyone at BlackStar can shoot well, most of them more than well. But Tally can shoot better than most when it comes to sniping. There are those better than her and she wouldn't always be chosen because she's never sniped anyone during a mission. Only dummies during training. Nerves may get the better of her on the field. Her last is disguising. Tally wears everything well, and that isn't just because she has a slim figure; it's because it isn't just her clothes that change with disguises, it's her voice, her behavior, her expressions. Tally has an excellent ability of standing out to blend in. Mainly though the latter blends with ED. ]

[ Tally is straight. She's kissed two girls in her life but finds she prefers the other gender. She has nothing against those who like their own gender, she just prefers to stick to what she's comfortable with. She also knows her turn ons. Tattoos, brunettes, strong, funny, nice teeth, doesn't wear a lot of designer stuff. And her turn offs. Really long fringes, lip peircings, tongue peircings, two ears peirced, bad teeth and breath, tons of spots. That's about it really but the list is sure to expand as she encounters more people. At the moment she's not interested in a relationship but isn't entirely adverse to one either. She's just going to take it as it comes. ]

[ Tallulah is one of those people everyone notices. And it isn't just because she happens to be pretty. It's just a feeling that you get; you have to keep looking at her because if you look away she'll be gone. She can't explain it herself but it likes she just entrances the people around her. It could be her elegance and sophistication; it could be her wits and cool words; it could be her casual glances and sly expressions; it could be the fact she's oblivious to anyone thinking them better than her; it could be the fact that she looks more like a socialite than whatever disguise she is wearing at the time; it could be her gentle behavior and friendly attitude; her riské comments and mischievous actions. Really, it could be any part of her. Whatever it is, she gets the stares and uses them to her advantage.

Like a lot of spies, Tallulah is hard working and strives to be respected. All she wants is the acceptance that she never got in the first seven years of her life. If she's struggling in something she'll try her best to make sure she makes the needed mark and goes over time trying to do so. It's ambition if you strip it down to its' core. Tallulah doesn't throw this ambition in other people's faces though, she keeps it to herself and tries to get there as quickly as possible. She would throw it in other people's faces if she had a motive to, but she doesn't and that's something people do respoect about Tally. She'll only act (outside of missions) against someone if there's a strong motive do. She doesn't get involved in pettiness. To be able to make these decisions (about whether the motive is big enough or not etc.) and strive towards what you wants, you have to be confident. If you aren't confident then you don't know if you're making the right decision or not and it's hard to trust yourself. Tallulah trusts herself and is confident. She'll stride into any room with her head held high and not out of arrogance. It's a mixture of self-belief, self-hate and confidence.

Besides this there's her strength and loyality. Tally will stick behind anyone she believes in and stay there. As long as she trusts you and you have to work for that trust, believe me. She doesn't throw it around like a sl*t throws her body around. No, really, the only people Tally trusts are those in BlackStar and some more than others. The brunette's strength appears both physically and mentally. Over the years at the academy she's trained for hours a day (and occasionally a night) to keep up her fitness level. She can fight well and beat a lot of boys who are bigger than her. But if she was up against a proper body guard, she'd have to rely on the fact she can move nimbly and knows her pressure points. Her mental strength is something the agents are trained to have. It's almost like a barrier they put up against snarky comments. Except they were trained to use it if they're ever being tortured for information. Which they all know is a possibility. Tally just adapted it to every day life, and found that it worked both ways. So, really, defending herself against words is easy because a) she never rises to the challenge unless there's a reason and b) she's learnt to grow a very thick skin.

Additional to all this, you've got to remember that Tallulah is just a girl. Not a miracle or great concept that can't be understood or something but a girl who is eighteen years old and has all the other feelings and traits an eighteen year old would have, plus a few and minus some others. She likes to relax and have a good laugh, she likes to be treated well and not just thrown around like a rag doll. She respects herself and some of the people around her and has learnt the morals that everyone knows and lives with. Tally may be an enigma to those who don't know her but to those who do she's funny, kind sweet and can kick your *ss if your not careful. It's just how Tally is. She tries to be a balanced person and sometimes succeeds and a lot of the time doesn't. But when she doesn't she looks at where she's gone wrong and tries to learn from that, rarely making the same mistake twice. ]

[ If Tallulah's waiting or listening to someone talk - or doing anything really - she'll run a hand through her hair. It isn't a sign of impatience, just something she does. Every night Tallulah likes to watch half an hour of tv and then do a suduko. It may be a bit weird but she finds the tv relaxing and the suduko fun and sometimes challenging. In her sleep Tallulah quotes poetry and song lyrics. She's never understood why or why she does that specifically and doesn't talk in her sleep but she does and if you share a room with her it's either soothing, or you're going to need to get a pair of headphones. She also chews the ends of her pens and pencils. So don't lend her a pen because when you get it back you won't recognise the end of it. ]

[ Like the other kids at BlackStar, Tallulah lived on the streets. The girl was thrown out there when she was four, her parents deciding that she wasn't wanted and four was a reasonably humane age for her to handle herself. She was found when she was seven and one of the holidaying recruitment men caught her pickpocketing his pocket. Tallulah had been on the streets since she was thrown out. He threatened to call the police on her and she begged him not too. The man wasn't sure what to do. He was on holiday for chrissake yet here he was taking a family break in England and unable to get away from the ingenious street kids. So he called BlackStar, spoke to them and then spoke to her. Ten days later she was recruited properly and flown over to America. She's been at the organisation ever since. Learning more stuff about the world than any normal child would and even more than any street child would too. They told her the abuse and neglection she had gone through in the first four years of her life was wrong and that she should never have ended up on the steets. Of course, Tallulah knew this but it made her more hateful to her awful parents and more trusting of the cause. They believed in her and she put her trust in them. ]
