Mollies are community fish, so I think they should be fine.
How many guppies are good in a ten gallon? And the ratio of males to females should be what? I was thinking eight, five females and three males, and possibly two female mollies.
Also: Reading about the beta problem, I think I can take that advice too. My beta has had a nasty case of fin rot for a while, it comes on and off. The aquarium might need more plants too.. where can I buy silk plants? I find live ones hard to grow and often just messy. He's in a 1.5 gallon bowl.
You would be over stocked with just the 8 guppys in a 10g, also mollies are bigger then guppies and require a larger tank then a 10g if you want to have afew of them
You could probably do 5-6 guppies but maybe go with all male or all female so they won't breed
I want them to breed c: Not to keep, but I enjoy getting to see guppy fry. The ones I can't keep I'll give to friends. I was also interested in getting some mollies as I've seen the molly X guppy hybrids, and they look interesting.
