I sit up after having a terrible dream, in a cold sweat. "Wait, what..." I say, breathing hard. "Oh, whew... What?!" I say when i see where I am and the cake in front of me. "Is this... Mine?" I ask myself. I shrug and eat it hungrily. Then I sit up in shock. "It was that boy... I have to thank him. I haven't had much of a scare, or anything exciting happen lately and I was bored out of my mind!" I smile, then run out the door and catch up to him. "Sorry about the whole fainting episode. I do that when I'm scared." I smile at him. "Thank you. I was bored out of my mind before you came along. You gave me quite the scare." I laughed, "I wish I could've seen my face! I bet my eyes were as big a dinner plates!"

He set the cake down as he saw the boy from earlier come out of the door. He was transitioning from thought to what was happening now. He blinked twice. "Huh?" he said, before shaking his head. "Oh! I see you've awoken... and eaten that cake," he chuckled. "Well, I don't think they looked like dinner plates... more like a shield." He stood up, brushing some of the crumbs that had landed on his clothes. "I'm quite sorry that I may have gone too far, but I needed something excitin' to do." He looked around before returning to look at the boy. "Anyway, I'm James. I feel a bit awkward when people call me by my first name," he said, holding out a hand. "...And you are...?"

I shake his hand. "Balsom Yewlin. Nice to meet you." I look around. "I don't normally see you around here. Are you from the outer provinces?" I ask James.

He rubbed the back of his head as he let his other hand down. "Well... no..." he said, smiling nervously. "However, it''s a pleasure to meet you." He still had some of his accent down there somewhere in him, but it had almost all been drowned down from all the training he had. He sighed and let both of his arms drop to his side, while remaining to stand up straight. He looked around curiously once more. "Where do you work?" he asked, trying to change the subject. This boy might critize him for where he lived. He just couldn't trust anyone; wherever they may be from.

Alex draped a cape over his shoulders and put a nice top hat on his head for the sake of quirky fanciness. Brushing himself off he took another glance in the mirror and then walked down into the ballroom. I-I can't do this... he thought to himself, standing shyly in the corner, wiping away the sweat on his brow with his monogrammed handkerchief.

Recognizing a familiar head of red hair, quite like her own, Arabella moved across the ballroom and tapped on a girl on the shoulder, a bit older than her. She smiled behind her mask. "Sister," she bowed her head. "Enjoying yourself?"

Serena smiled as she turned around, recognizing her younger sister. She bowed her head in respond. "Yes. I sure am. I just had a very nice dance. And you? Are you enjoying yourself?" Serena asked, smiling softly. She gazed around the ballroom, slightly curious if Prince Zerrick was around before turning her gaze back to her sister.

Crystal walked around smiling at people, she sat in a chair and watched the others dancing happily and smiled. She was used to being left out or unwanted, so she was and admired the desighns and beauty. She sighed and looked down at her pale hands.

Alex smiled, spying two ladies with red hair speaking to one another. They were indeed his cup of tea~
I can do this. he said to himself, re-assuring his thumping heart. Moving quietly he approached them, "Excuse me ladies," he said with a polite bow, "May I have a dance with one of you?"

Serena smiled softly as a young guy approached her and her sister. She turned to the guy as he spoke, smiling politely, though a giggle escaped her lips. It was quite funny to see the guy ask both of them to dance, it kinda seemed desperate. But she thought it was cute. "Of course you can, if you are able to make up your mind about who you want to dance with."
