Darkpelt returned the smile faintly, that strange feeling welling up in him again. But he quickly settled it down, because that feeling scared him. Instead he focused on how the Clan, and how Bluetail especially, could move on from this betrayal. "Dawnstar," Darkpelt called out the the leader, his eyes troubled. He remained next to Bluetail as he spoke, not wanting to leave her side just now. "How are you going to announce this to the Clan? Won't there be much retaliation? Surely there will be much suggestion of EmberClan camp invasion, you should know." He mused.

Rowanbranch glanced up from outside of the medicine cat's den at the sound of hissing. What's going on? she wondered. Oh StarClan, I hope there isn't another battle. She shook her head, telling herself she wouldn't get into it. With a flick of her tail, she entered the medicine cat's den, searching for Whitepaw or Shadowpelt.

Rowanbranch glanced at Whitepaw, smiling softly. "Hi, Whitepaw," she replied, then looked down to her paws. She was a little embarrassed for including another cat- an apprentice no less- in her problems, and was a bit sheepish about telling Whitepaw what she and Oakstream needed to know. She knew she had nothing to worry about since Whitepaw was the medicine cat apprentice, and wouldn't gossip. She couldn't say for the rest of the clan, but hopefully everything going on would keep them stable on gossiping.

Bluetail

Bluetail opened her eyes. No matter how much she wanted to shout at Leopardfur for abandoning her and the Clan, to go over to Emberclan and take something back because she had lost something so important to her, she would be no part of it. The two Clans had just engaged in a battle, and most of the cats were hurt and/or tired. There was already a death in the Clan; she didn't want another.

She shuffled a little closer to Darkpelt and relaxed against him a little. She didn't want to scare him away. She already blurted out her feelings, the last thing she needed was to scare away Darkpelt too when she needed a little comfort. She was just happy he was here, and although she knew she didn't have any part of his heart or emotions, she was glad with what he was offering her as support.
