Bluetail

Bluetail watched as Flamepaw walked away, feeling a little better, til a "pardon me" caused her to turn around.

"Ye-?"

Darkpelt. He was right there in front of her, looking down at her with an intense stare. It was like he was waiting for her to threaten his life of something with the way he stared, and she opened her mouth to try and talk but Watersprout bounded onto the scene.

It was obvious to Bluetail that the other female was attracted to Darkpelt, and she couldn't blame her. He was quite a handsome tom, powerful in both appearance and aura. The thought did strike a sad chord in her though, she couldn't deny that.

She was about to turn and leave, until a few intense stares from the tom in question stopped her in her tracks. With a look, he told her to stay put, that they weren't even close to finishing a conversation. And she found herself obeying that order.

What could he possibly want with me?

Watersprout's question threw her as much as it did him, and he agreed to go with the other female after a seemingly long debate in his head. He did glance back at her, and she smiled at him regardless of how she was feeling.

I wouldn't be surprised if Watersprout tells him of her feelings...

She inclined her head to the older tom as a goodbye, and sent him a gentle smile. She was tired; a good rest after the fight was probably a good idea. Her injuries weren't life-threatening, so she didn't need to see the Healer. She turned on her paws to walk the other way from Darkpelt and Watersprout, her blue eyes looking round to check everything was in order.

Darkpelt's veins turned to ice. Cute? He scrunched up his nose in silent disgust. He was not cute, he was a warrior. And how could she bring up such a subject, so blatantly. He made sure Watersprout didn't see his expression as he replied, Nothing is bothering me. But being called cute might. The tom was not the sentimental or sensitive type, and said things as he thought them. If you were looking for a stable, loving, energetic companion, he was not it. Darkpelt kept his head low as they walked, trying to block out the she-cat. He instead focused on the hunt, allowing his senses to sharpen. How he tried not to, his mind kept wandering back to Bluetail, and why she was acting the way she had whenever she saw him. How he ached to speak with her and found out, the suspense was nagging him like a million fleas. Oh, how hopeless he was with romance.

flamepaw ran past bluetail laughing as she was being chased by rabbitpaw , sunpaw and silverpaw the four the triped and landed in a pile laughing

Watersprout stopped in her tracks. "Why don't you like any she-cats? Just because I think you are cute doesn't mean you have to be mean about my decision of how you are in my thoughts." she sat down and started to cry and she went up and nuzzled him then jumped back, "Sorry" she said surprised she just nuzzled him.

"Yes" Oakstream said.

Darkpelt felt Watersprout stop short after his comment. He closed his eyes in frustration, clenching his jaw to brace himself for the rant that was sure to follow. Just like he did with his sister, Thrushcloud, he turned and sat down with a blank expression to take the beating. He knew better than to argue with an angry she-cat so he didn't respond to her comment verbally. Instead he just stared disinterestedly at her, waiting the apology that was sure to follow. What he wasn't prepared for was the affectionate gesture that came after. He sat awkwardly, trying not to lean away. The only thing that kept him from sprinting off and retreating up to the branched of the nearby tree was the fact that she seemed easily set off. Let's... keep going." He mumbled gently.
