If I hadn't started role-playing I would be so bored all the time -.-
And I would have nothing to do on CS, so I probably would have quit. .-.

Well arty, don't ask why no one is on it and not be there xD

The Semi-Literate+ Roleplayer's Club

Postby - serendipity » Fri Dec 28, 2012 9:18 am

okay, what? i go away for several days and then i come back and there are thirty pages to read through. i got through about seven and then gave up. can someone give me some sort of recap from when people were talking about a southern belle roleplay and a winter, pairing romance [light and aqua were part of this conversation], ethnic characters and then grammar annoyances and when you get muse...and asdfghjkl you went to fast. but, anyways, i be back c: anyone miss me? probs not but i can hope right?

to all one x one partners on here [asian, scene, rose, trifle and i think that's everyone i have to reply to] sorry for not replying in ages, been somewhere without much wifi so haven't been able to reply. but, i am working through replies. they should all be done in the next three days but please bear in mind i have group roleplays to reply to as well and unpacking to do and watching to do [i got the fourth doctor who series for christmas and i haven't seen it ages and thus i need to watch it 'cos it has donna in and donna is amazing, end of] and generally i shall be busy. but i am making a promise that they shall all be done in the next three days. yes, you can hold me to that. but don't beat me up or anything, punish me in some other way if i don't >.<

to everyone who was interested in the john green roleplay, still writing up a plot, please bear with.

okay, seriously, has someone changed the password to the spam thread again?

It's under debate. I use it whenever I feel like it (in lists that contain confusing terms, usually). Alas, my favourite example for this may not be CS-safe... probably is. Just not the picture.

WITH the Oxford Comma: We invited the strippers, Hitler, and Stalin.
WITHOUT the Oxford Comma: We invited the strippers, Hitler and Stalin.

Because ambiguity can really stink, the Oxford Comma is awesome.

For me, roleplaying has mainly kept my writing where it was several years ago, before I stopped taking English classes. ^-^ Roleplaying is extremely educational (the way we do it). And you guys! You guys are awesome. :3 Without roleplaying, I'd be hanging out with much less interesting people. Word.

(Also, why is there no one on Chatzy? o.O)

* what is chatzy? *

I've been on other adopt sites before and got bored of them quickly because adopting was the only thing you did there, and that doesn't hold my attention for very long. Because chicken smoothie has role playing, and I love to write, I am now addicted and have a bunch of friends. <3

that, my friend, is one wonderful example.
on a similar note, i'm in love with the song "oxford comma" by vampire weekend. not going to link it since it does contain a few swear words, but it's a great song c:
personally, i rarely use it unless it is necessary (like the example you wrote above). i don't think it's of utmost importance otherwise.

But technically, both sentences are correct
One is just considerably raunchier than the other
