So, I have a problem, I'm trying to design a pair of fancharries, but I a. have no clue what they look like, B. have no clue what sort of world they come from, and c. have no clue exactly what their genders are...
fail...
any suggestions about how I should go aout deciding stuff?

Okay. What you should probably do first is just start drawing. Let the picture take its own form. If what you start drawing looks like a guy, have it be a guy. If it looks like its a weird flying bat person, so be it! Then, start cleaning it up, and deciding all the little details. That usually works for me, but some people don't work like that, so this is just how I would do it!
