Bluetail had matured quickly over the previous months, coupled with her improving hunting skills and her body filling out to her fully-grown state. She sat elegantly as Dawnstar called the meeting for the new Apprentices. Her blue eyes looked upon the new Apprentices one by one, wishing them all the best for their Warrior futures.

I wonder who will Mentor the rest of them. No doubt Dawnstar has the perfect match for them in mind. They'll be great Warriors; I can feel it in my whiskers.

Her ears perked up as she heard her name as one of the Mentors.

Rowanbranch purred and rubbed her head affectionately against Oakstream. "Congratulations," she whispered. "You'll make a great mentor." She felt a pang, wishing she could be trusted with an apprentice but pushed it away. She didn't want to ruin anything for the new apprentices or the new mentors, especially Oakstream. After all, she told herself, You were an apprentice only five short moons ago. You'll be a mentor soon. There's still kits in the nursery, she reminded herself.

Tinderkit shifted his paws excitedly. His apprentice ceremony. Who would my mentor be? He thought. Silverpaws mentor is Dawnstar?! Thought Tinderkit. It was very surprising.

"Spottedkit, Rainkit! Next moon you will be apprentices, too! Hopefully, Rowanbranch will get to mentor one of you guys and then maybe somebody else who I don't know will take the other one." she said happily.
