They don't neccasarily 'pick' a form, you look up analyses (basically a list of points saying what a person with a *insert animal here* daemon would act like) and if they match, you try the form out. I believe the links to The Daemon Page on the front page of this thread explains the whole thing far better than I, so I suggest you read that.

Pretty much this except for one addition; your own research is, in my opinion, far more important than just flipping through analysis. You analyze an animal, translate their behavior to human personality traits, and see how much it applies to you.

Example: My personality is no longer changing and I'm now the person I will be 20 years from now, which means I'm settled. I've found a critter that fits that personality, it's the Crocotta. I've done my own research and found that Crocotta traits match me.

The patterns on the pictures are Gallifreyan symbols (from Doctor Who) in case anyone wanted to know. :D They're so cool, and I think Zoe sometimes makes up her own designs for them? Verryyy pretty stuff anyway. c:

I think my only Zoe art is the chibi in my sig. :3 I think most people on TDF from a year or so back have a chibi, 'cause Zoe is amazing and somehow managed to churn out literally over 9000 of the beautiful little things for people. <3

EDIT: When I say literally over 9000 I don't actually mean literally over 9000.
EDIT2: But it was a lot, anyway.

Ohhh haha. I stared at that for like a full minute going "D: What, there is no way she did over 9000, that's impossible". x3

I have two Zoe chibis, a fossa and a Chinese crested. I still have them saved to my computer even though Circio takes neither of those forms anymore. I think I was the... seventh one to get one of her chibis. Maybe sixth. Somehow I got lucky and managed to get one of the first spots.

The best advice I can give is don't go too literal, try to think more abstractly.

Let's say you're a fennec fox soul. Fennec foxes live in the desert. You could analyze this as "you like the heat" but that really has no bearing on your personality. A better analysis would be that you are a warm person in an emotional sense.

Aaaanyway. So Yeah, Wendigo beat me to the punch. Although I'm not the best at analyzing animals, I think I'm starting to get better at it. Or, at least I'm getting better at knowing what animals my friends are/are not.

Now that I learn that Manectric is based on Raijuu, I understand why I use that form so much.
