Finding the Sun (Canine RP)

"River!" Torka's howl was cut short and he burst out into a massive grin. "Find a healer, would you? Please? Chee doesn't look too good and she won't last two days unless we do something." He rushed forward and nuzzled Rivers head. "Don't be scared." He mumbled, a small smile on his face. "Please find a healer."

[*MoonSong*]

"I try." she whimpered and ran off to find someone who could help.

Haru woke from where he had been snoozing behind a tree when he heard howls and yelling. Dashing out from where he had been hidden, he quickly searched the clearing. "What? What's happening?" he asked frantically.

"We need a healer, urgent." Torka told Haru, a frown on his face. "Chee..." He looked back at the bloody female, caked in her own gore. "Please, help River find a healer to help Chee." He pleaded with the older male, his alaskan malamute genes showing themselves as he stood in a husky-like way and refused to let Chee bleed to death.

A tiny fleck of hurt flared in Haru's eyes as the other wolf failed to realize he was actually a healer. I may not be experienced, but I can heal... he thought, but shook it off. Quickly, he went and found his store of herbs and heaved them over to where Chee lay. Washing her fur of blood, he made a poultice of mint and daisy petals. "This will sting a bit, but it will feel cool later." he murmured as he smeared the ointment over her wounds and stuffed the wounds with cattail fluff. Then, he rolled a wild cherry into her mouth and stroked her throat to make her swallow. The cherry would ease her pain and help her rest comfortably. "Is there anything else?" he asked worriedly, wanting to know if he missed any wounds.

"I did good Torka I found Haru." River said to Torka as she made whining noises and watched Haru work his healing magic. "Thank you Haru for coming so quick." River said in between her whimpers.

"You're welcome." Haru smiled, "Is anyone else hurt?" he asked in a more panicked voice, beginning to roll his herbs back up. He hoped not, there were no older healers to show him the way.

Torka stared into open space for a moment, then looked at Haru and smiled a tiny smile. "Oh..." He watched Haru work his magic, then turned to River. He wagged his tail and walked toward River, dipping his head and nuzzling the females neck. "Thank you, River. You're a big help." Then he looked at Haru. "Well, Demon's ego is hurt..." He mused then remembered his manners and smiled. "No, no one is hurt. Thank you, Haru, for your work."

River returned Torkas nudge and then went over to Haru and rested her head on his back. "Thank you for saving her." River pulled away from Haru and said. "If she is to heal quickly she'll need food. I'll go see if I can catch her something to eat. Would you guys mind staying by her side? I don't know how safe she is from the rest of the pack in her state. The wolves are scared and they might hurt her more."

Haru smiled broadly at River, then nodded in agreement. "I'll stay with Chee." he promised, wagging his tail a bit. Laying down beside her, he kept a watchful eye on her, making sure her breathing was normal.
