She blinked twice before remembering about what had just happened. She nodded her head quickly, "Of course," she said, feeling a bit dizzy. She steadied herself and refill the glss with the jug on her tray and handed it to the prince.

It took her a second to realize her mistake, causing her to mentally facepalm herself. You don't have them their drinks, she thought, slowly putting the glass back on the tray. "Sorry, your majesty. I'll get you another glass," she said as she turned around to snatch another glass from another maid's tray with the metal tongs. She placed it carefully on the tray and filled it with the drink he wanted. I must stop thinking of my crazy dreams. Or I'm going to end up withoout a job, she thought.

The prince cocked his head at her curiously, not exactly sure what she was doing. Watching her closely, KC hesitantly took his glass from the girl and sipped it slowly. She was pretty, he supposed. Perhaps not so very striking, although maybe it was her attire. Finishing off his fourth flute of the night, he set it back down on her tray and fought the urge to sway. He was getting quite dizzy. His smile kept the girl in place, knowing he had total control over the girl. He decided she might make a good plaything for the night. Something to keep him company for a while. Perhaps entertain him.

"What," he asked, "Is your name, servant?" He tried to sound serious, but the image of her falling over was too much.

Freezing for a moment, I consider this as a chance to guess who this lady is. She is definitely
from Avalon, even now, I stepped her shoe and realized that its hard. But it would be impolite,
too, asking questions about her. It would be invading private information. "Yes, we shall,"
I reply, a little worriedly. Maybe she already guessed that I'm the eldest princess's maid. Its so obvious
that I am. I begin to have concerns that she might be somebody I know, someone who's always
around me.... With only options to dance and stop thinking or to think hard about it, I choose
to wave the thoughts away. I keep on dancing, with my soft shoes tapping the ground.

"Elyssa Newton," she lied, looking around the room. She swore that there was something going wrong with the maids and that she'd get blamed for it. A conversation was alright, unless her job was on the line. She knew either way, she'd get fired, though it wasn't a bad thing for her, just rather her siblings. "Is there anything else you need, your majesty?" she asked, hoping he didn't need anything else.

Nick sighed. He knew very well what Serena meant by being 'caged' inside the palace. Her latest guard had been fired due to theft and they were still in the process of selecting another one, though it might take a very long time. The selection process involved choosing those who had already gone through all the stages of training, seeing which one was the best and who would be able to protect her at all times without bothering her, and then there was a whole lot of meetings that had to go on with it, as well as seeing if Serena would be able to get along with her guard.

Nick spun Serena around as they danced in the ballroom. After this one, I think I'll just stay on the sidelines, this is just utter torture. Nick hated ballroom dancing ever since he started learning. Although he was quick at catching on, he didn't enjoy having to swirl around the ballroom. During these formal events, he preferred to hide in the shadows and watch quietly, or go for a stroll in the garden alone. "Serena," he said as the music finished and he stepped away to bow, "I think I'll go get a drink, would you like a refreshment?"

Serena looked at Nick and scowled slightly as he called her 'Serena'. "You know you are not allowed to reveal my identity, even though everybody from our kingdom recognizes me without any hesitation..." she replied softly. It didn't sound mean, or harsh. No, her voice sounded still friendly, like always. Serena shrugged it off and smiled at her brother. "But it doesn't matter." she said. "And no, but thanks." she replied to his question. Serena barely drank on these occassions. Most of the drinks contained alcohol, and Serena knew of herself she couldn't stand it very well.
