Mezzanotte bowed his head "how admirable" he agreed, not wishing to cross Badger's path in the wrong way once more, he nickered a farewell and turned himself to leave. Flicking his tail he wandered away, he paused "maybe will we will meet once again" he said flatly and with a half smile, left.

Blinded By Night Terrors

Night watched the trees, and turned her head, relaxing her senses. She wished to settle properly for the night and was about to rise to find a more sheltered place to slumber when she caught the acute sound of a snapping twig, it came sharply to her ears.

"Who's there?" she asked, calling into the dusk light, unsure of herself "Is somebody there?" she quavered. Unsure of what her reply would be she stood in as assertive a way as possible, ready to flee or charge what met her. She swung her head, trying to see what had stepped on a twig.

It's nothing she dismissed, My mind is fooling me she promised herself

Vanity wandered around their meeting spot hoping she might see dexter around soon.

Dexter's eyes fluttered open from slumber
He felt a lot better after a sleep and eating.
Even the bullet wound's pain had seemed to subside

He rought himself to his feet and looked around,
Seeing Poetry chatting with one of the mares of the herd.

he thought.
He looked towards the water, seeing Vanity gazing..

He smiled and trotted over to her.
"Hey stranger,"
He said happily

"That i don't remember water."
She laughed, attempting to get up, looking like a new born Dear.
"I remember you splashing me, Us Running..."

"And then it felt like i suddenly fell asleep."
She giggled and looked back at the water.

"Obviously i did fall into a puddle."
She smiled cheekily,
"Probably looked pretty graceful doing it too, huh?"
She laughed.
She winced a little at a sharp ache that rang out in her head randomly.

"Probably hit my head with a rock or two on the way down too."

Dexter was confused for a moment but then realized she
was talking about his neck-

"Oh, That."
He quickly covered it with his long mane.
"We ran into some humans on the way back here."

He smiled, and gave a nervous chuckle.
He didn't know why Vanity always brought that side out of him,

That side of him that made him look more sheep than stallion.
His eyes darted around.

"Uh yeah, no worries though, Just a scare."
He gave another awkward laugh.

Dream slowly walked into the water, "its so beautiful" she said in aw looking at the water, it seemed so surreal.

He wasn't far off from his sister and father. The colt was hopefully going to once against catch his sister off guard and scare her.He made sure not to make a sound and stay out of sight for a while before he finally began the painstakingly slow process of sneaking up behind them. Crius was about to tap his sister's flank with his muzzle when he heard a snap. He jumped forward nearly barreling into her and then felt embarrassed as he saw the source of the sound, he has stepped on a stick. He pinned his ears and snorted, hoping his sister hadn't noticed or he would probably be teased.

Mother Soul
Mother trotted up to the thicket where she had left her foals. And the young filly she had come across after that be tornado had hit a while back. Mothers skin crawled just thinking about it, the poor youngster had been so petrified all she could say was "there goon all goon." It had taken Mother near a week before she could get the name out of the poor filly. Little Saundra had slowly come out of her shell, the relay big break through had happened when Mother gave birth to the twins. Mother shook her head as she the thought of her to rambunctious boys.

As she pushed through the thicket, she was greeted with squeals and various sounds from they boys little friends. Yenisei with the ever present Slip (a ferret) bound up. Closely fallowed by his brother and his companions (the owl Ghost and Hennry the snake), Saundra slowly ambled after them. Mother let out a welcoming nicker and said "I have found the heard and we will be heading to meet them in a minute." the twins bounced around and kicked up there heels at this news. As they headed out Saundra and the twins caught mother up on all that had happened in the few days she had been goon.

Saundra:
Saundra heaved a huge sigh and wished Mother would get back soon. The twins and there pets were being a hooffull again, with another sigh Saundra thought that it was hard being the oldest. Even if it was only by a few months, thoughts of her old herd came to mind. She quickly shook her head to get rid of those thoughts, they always brought the terrible emptiness with them. Just then there was a rustling on the edge of the thicket, Saundra tensed up waiting to see if it was a friend or foe coming through. Then she relaxed as she realized it was just Mother back from looking for her herd. The twins and there menagerie bound towards Mother making enough noise to wake up a tree. Saundra shook her head and fallowed them, as she got up by Mother. Saundra heard Mother say that she had found her old herd and there were going to meet up with them. Saundra could not make up her mind how she felt about this more kelpies meant more people to lose. As they walked along the twins chattered on and on, Saundra listened with a half an ear. And corrected them when they were wrong, but mostly wondered what it was going to be like being with a herd again.

Yenisei

Yenisei looked at his brother and gave a challenging snort daring him to beat that last jump he had done. He held his head up high positive that there was no way his brother was going to jump higher then he had. Suddenly there was something tickling his right ear, it was Slip wiggling his tail around. Yenisei sighed he still had no idea why the little ferret had attached itself to him. It was his brother who had found him and nursed him back to health. It was still a puzzle how he had ended up in the bayou, according to his Mother the little ferret should be living on a prairie . What ever that was, suddenly his brother let out a mighty heave and cleared the log they had been trying to jump. He managed to make it over the log but then went sprawling on his nose on the other side. Yenisei burst out laughing, and trotted over to his brother. "That dose not count since you did not actually land on your feet." His brother Trstama stood up and pushed his head right up to Yeniseis "Yes it dose, I made it over." Yenisei sucked in a huge breath about ready to tell his brother of course it did not. When there was a rustling in the far side of the thicket, Yenisei turned his head to watch the leaves move. Standing stock still waiting to see what would happen. Then Mother came out of the leaves, Yenisei bounced over to her calling out a greeting neigh. He skidded to a stop next to Mother and snuggled up to her side. Mother then told them that she had found the herd and they were going. Yenisei let out a sequel of excitement and bounced around with his brother. As they started walking Yenisei began to tell Mother all about there adventures well she was goon, or at least try to Trstama kept interrupting.

Trstama:

Trstama watched his brother attempting to show off and chuckled to himself at his brothers ridiculous pose. Trstama settled in to position in front of the log, he just knew he was going to make it this time. He gave one last cheek to make sure Hennry and Ghost were safe on a branch near by. And then gave a mighty heave and cleared the log, oh it felt so good to have the wind blowing through his mane. Then the ground came rushing at him and he hit it with a loud thump. As he lay there stunned for a moment Ghost awkwardly flew over with Hennry to make sure that he was ok. After they had settled in his mane Trstama jumped to his feet only to hear his brother Yennisei laughing at him. Then his brother was trying to tell him that the jump did not count. That made Trstama mad, so he got right up by his brothers face and said "Yes it dose, I made it over." Trstama could tell his brother was about to argue with him so he sucked in a big breathe. Then there was a rustling on the far side to the thicket, Trstama turned to look and froze waiting to see what happened. It was Mother she was back, Trstama took off after his brother calling out happily to his mother, Ghost and Hennry even gave there own greeting sounds. Trstama snuggled up to Mother's other side and listened to her telling them that she had found the herd and they were going to meet them. Trstama bounced around in joy, ever mindful of his passengers. As they headed out Trstama began to tell Mother all about what had happened to him and what animals he had helped, but Yenisei kept interrupting. Trstama began plotting how he was going to pay back his brother every time he inturpted.
