Random need to rant, I hope this is alright here...

People with degrees waving it around and acting like pompous punks over it. Someone bringing up the whole "video games are evil, influencing young minds" argument and waving their psychology degree around, then saying she understood my standpoint (video games as a stress/frustration relief) then goes off on how it doesn't help, essentially calling me a lazy blighter for not getting out more (excuse me, after working retail all day, I don't particularly WANT to 'play sports', I'd rather unwind with some World of Warcraft or something)... Then ridiculing me when I get cross at her jumping to conclusions with me, saying it 'was only her opinion, which she makes with experience and knowledge'. Well, she knows me not, she experiences me not, my bloody THERAPIST prefers I play video games (lest my frustrations find their way out in my old cutting habit which I have been free of for almost two years now), because she bloody well knows how often I can go out for sports after work.

Oh, I forgot to mention she was practically attacking my friend for his defense of video games, waving her degree around to try to validate her arguments.

There's a difference between 'having' an opinion and 'forcing' an opinion, using your petty degree paper to shove it down someone's throat.

Oh yea, and trying to make yourself look cute by saying "hee hee" in your argument after you said "who wants to get to know you?" which sounds an awful lot like "you're a bloody worthless pile of trash" does not fly.

(PS: this is not directed at anyone on CS. The "you" is directed at the blighter on facebook. Sorry to be a bother.)
