Hey guys, I just thought I might help clear up some confusions.

Any religious group that believes in Christ (at least, as he is thought of in the Christian faith - as the son of God and not just a prophet) is Christian. (Hence the name.) That means Catholics, Lutherans, Unitarians, Mormons and the whole lot. It's an easy way to figure it out. Believe in Jesus? Then you're Christian. ^^ On the other hand, I personally don't think that a person's family background necessarily makes them Christian (or any other religion.) Religion is a personal issue, so if your parents are Christian, that doesn't mean you have to say that you are too (and vice versa, if they aren't.) It isn't like eye color. You choose it for yourself, and it can change over time, if your beliefs change.

I'm not christian (I've been an atheist for a long time), so please don't add me to the list, but I just thought I'd contribute.

But I should add that believing in Jesus doesn't make you a Christan. The demons believe in Him and tremble at His name. I've always thought being a Christian meant accepting Jesus as you Lord and Savior.

Yeah, I agree. Some say they beleive in him and say they are christian, but what really makes them a christian? Having a relationship with God. I added you Rainfall. God bless your day!
