Sailor sighed softly and folded her long dark bay legs under her, giving Jinx warmth. "I hope so.." She murmured softly resting her neck across her filly's small frame. Jinx shivered and pressed against her Mother shoving her muzzle into Sailors fur shivering.

Ghost also folded his legs underneath him, on the opposite side of the small filly. He was hoping that the warmth from both sides, also the lack of a chilling wind, would help to thaw the small foal. He would stay there as long as they needed him, even if it took all night. If they needed anything, he would get it for them. He realised he didn't know their names.
"I'm Ghost," he began. "What are your names?"

Sailor made sure Jinx was warm before turning to Ghost. She raised her dark bay head quietly. "I'm Sailor and this is Jinx." Sailor swept her tail over Jinx to give the small buckskin filly a coverup from the freezing weather.

Ghost decided that now would be a time for idle chit chat, to help pass the time until the little filly had recovered. He bobbed his head slightly in greeting, his forelock cascading over his dark blue eyes.
"Where did you come from?" he asked, wondering how they came to be wandering about in the middle of the blizzard. In the laying down position he was in, he could feel the warmth radiating from the three of them, and it melted the snow around them.

Sailor snorted softly. "Jinx and I came from the other side of the mountains, to get away from all of the poachers." She paused to cast a glance at Jinx who was starting to fall asleep. "When we got here, we didn't expect it to be so cold. But we stayed here because we knew it was going to be a good place to be away from all of the poachers."

Jinx stayed still. she was breathing, but her sides didn't rise or fall. She was quiet, admitting signs of defeat.

Ghost snorted. Though the air was cold, at least the wind wasn't whipping through, and they were cozy in their little bundle.
"The reason why they don't come here is because they cannot live here. The conditions are rather extreme. That is why they stay away. Those who have stayed here for a while use the weather to their advantage, and are more on top of things than the poachers anyway, so even if one tried, they never win."
Looking at the little filly, he then added, "But on the same token, it's hard for those who are new to it, especially those who are so young. It takes a while to build up resistance."

Sailor nodded softly. "Indeed." She rested her bay head and neck on Jinx again. "I brought her here to keep her safe from all of the dangers that live across the mountains. We adapted quickly, but it is kind of hard because there is no grass that is green here. It is all just snow and ice. But Jinx loves to play in the snow, so we stayed here."
