Ghost almost rolled his eyes. Really? This stallion was going to act like a big thug, get himself injured, for a lone mare? If he didn't command respect in his herd, then he hated to think what his mares were like. However he was all posture and nothing else by the looks of it.
"Back off, bud," Ghost warned. "This is not your fight. If she chooses to go with you, then sure. Otherwise you can keep out of it."

She was winded as his hooves hit her ribcage. She took deep breaths to try and regain herself, her legs which were still tired from falling through the ice were beginning to wobble under her, but she refused to give up. She had been snaked before and she didn't plan on letting it happen again. She looked up at Inferno, was the stallion defending her? What did she mean to him? She realized that she had been probably quite a pain for the big teke and yet he came to help her.

Inferno leaned slightly on dancer to tell her to either move or lean on him for support. "I would back off if it was't for the fact that she would be stuck with some irreponsible idiot." The stallion snorted and grew concerned as she seemed to be weakening again. He advanced to defebd her from any other hits. "And besides. If you were a hint of smart you would know if you admired something for beaauty you would not beat it up." The male shook his head with a smirk. Why destroy something beautiful?

The skinny young mare managed to pull herself together to hear his words. He couldn't possibly think some ragged little thing like her was at all pretty could he? She felt him against her and she leaned on him slightly to remove some pressure from her legs. She glared at the other bachelor, if he dared lay a hoof on either of them...

Taria snorted as she watched Inferno and Ghost. She swished her tail and pawed out at the snow and reared up a little. She let out a shrill whinny and jumped right in front of Inferno and the mares, separating Ghost from them. She reared up and pawed her hoof out in the air. She hit his nose with her hoof.

"Oh, and you think you can do a much better job? That female needs to learn that she is a subordinate. But if you wish to take her, go for it. I'd wish you all the luck in the world, and you'd hope that she learnt some manners with you."
Ghost couldn't care less if some other stallion wished to take her. She was just a mare after all. He was trying to teach her some manners on how to act with a stallion. But if this one thought he could do better, all the more luck for him.
"She is a mare, mares are to be taken under a stallion's rule. Beauty or not makes no difference."
Ghost snorted in amusement. Was this guy for real? He was acting like a love sick mare, rather than someone who was capable at all of protecting an entire herd. And especially with a mare so firey but so weak as this one, she wouldn't be really good mothering material anyway. Suited him fine if this stallion wished to take her on. His herd wouldn't grow strong and powerful with her type mothering foals.
That was until some other mare showed her insolence. With a roar, Ghost lunged at the new mare, and again whirled lashing with his back legs. Well, this stallion wasn't at all up to showing the mares their place. He glared at her.
"Don't try that one again." Before looking pointedly at the stallion. "You have your hands full with this lot, best you start getting them to show some respect for the dominant gender."
With a flick of his tail he left them to it.

Glory paced against the snowline. Her coat was full and shaggy from having lived in the cold blizzard like conditions for so long. She pawed at the ground, her breath drawing tendrils of steam, digging to the rich grass underneath. She was alone, like she had been for a while now, just doing her best to find food.
