Actually if wolves and other animals such as deer or elk get over populated they start throwing off other levels of other plants or animals that they may prey on. And then they start starving and dying off slowly instead of quickly by bullet or arrow.

Wolves however, are controlled by the population levels of their prey. They simply aren't meant to be managed by humans. The reason deer need to be hunted is because before humans killed off all other "top predators" they were kept in check by predators. Wolves have never been kept in check by predators; they are kept in check by their prey, therefore it's unnecessary to hunt them.

Not if they are being killed off every two seconds by the overpopulated wolves.

when a wolf pack try to hunt down prey for example elk on 1/10 of these is successful with a kill, so i doubt elk are being killed every 2 secounds by over populated wolves.

Wolves when overpopulated, would deffiently lower the elk population. This would throw off the balance. Wolves do have predators in the wild and humans just happen to be among them .
if wolves are overpopulated in an area that means that they're thriving so there must be a higher prey population in that area. rather than in areas where there are are lower populations of prey so therefor a lower poulation of wolves

Thats not how it works..
If the wolves are breeding faster then the amount of prey that is there, then the wolves would be eating more, so then they wouldn't be giving the prey a chance to actually breed and have their offspring grow up, because the wolves are eating the parents of the prey.
