Cloud He happily followed his friends into the shealter "thank you very much for allowing me to stay with you, winter is always difficult when your all alone" he said to them. He looked a dee and than at edge "so how are we going to find food this winter?" he asked them. He looked around the shelter and knew it would be a safe one for them. He lied down next to dee "are you cold?" he asked her a bit of concern in his voice.
dream(shes open) she trudged through the now sticking snow and knew she needed to find shelter soon. She wished she could find someone to keep her company throught the winter but she knew shelter was more important. She shook her snow covered forlock out her eyes before continuing to walk.

Wish turned her head towards the voice of a stallion. {Inferno.} She nickered out to him, not knowing if he heard her over the wind. She trotted slowly as snow kept falling down on her. She jumped over a log in her way and slipped on a patch of ice as she landed. She shook her mane and looked at her leg. She put some pressure on it and tried to get up with some pain. She stood and continued towards the stallion.

The stallion snorted as Cloud wandered over to them. He stood up and walked over to the entrance "I could go out and find something" he suggested, seeing that Cloud and Dee were perfectly happy on their own. He showed no emotion though deep down he only wanted to help Dee and be there for her, only now there was another stallion who seemed to want her as well.

The mare put a lot of effort into trying to swim, but the cold was forcing her body to shut down. She kicked on with her hind legs and pushed herself up onto the shore with the help of the stallion. She lay in the snow, her sides heaving and her muscles shivering as she panted. Her eyes fought to stay open as she felt herself about to black out.

[mindless.]

"Keep m-moving...it -w-will help you s-stay warm. Not too far from sh-she-shelter." Inferno said through chattering teeth as he tried not to fall himself. He shifted his long legs constantly. Urgently nosing the mare he whinnied.

Dee watched Edge leave and flattened her ears. Maybe he really did not care as she thought. Was he just a numbers stallion, or one who saw mares as more? The mare frowned and lied her head down. "I am fine. Thanks." She said quietly to Cloud. Closing her eyes the mare felt defeated. Edge was not very determined or protective at this point whih made her question.

He stayed at the entrance to the cavern, looking back at Dee. She didn't seem to care whether or not he left. He sighed deeply, how could he show this mare how attached he had grown to her and how much he wanted to begin a herd with her. She clearly cared for the other stallion too. He looked upset as he stood there, flicking his tail.

She snorted as her body shook violently "I c-can take c-care of mys-self" she nickered as she lay in the snow, her eyes fluttering open and shut. She moved her legs slightly but her muscles felt numb, like she had no legs at all. She raised her head slightly but it dropped back down into a pile of snow within seconds.

[mindless.]

"I am not l-leaving until you are s-safe and dry. p-please..." Inferno nudged her again, snorting. The stallion did not want to freeze...but he could not leav her here. "Do you really want death?" he asked and nudged her again. Inferno grew concerned. It was not like he could drag her. Pleas get up. Pleasepleasepleeeeaase...

Dee watched Edge, nickering quietly to him. "You could look for food later. I am not hungry right now..." The mare said and looked hopfully at him with round dark eyes. A shiver passed through her.

She shivered "I've c-come close to death once b-before already and it was s-stallions who did it to me" she nickered as her tragic past flashed in her blue eyes. She wanted to move, she truly did want to co-operate. But finding confidence in herself was a whole different story. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before putting every scrap of energy she could muster into forcing herself to stand. Her skinny legs wobbled under her but she caught her balance.

He looked at her with gentle eyes "I don't want you to go hungry" he reminded her. "I suppose Cloud and I could go searching later" he suggested, glancing at the other stallion. He decided to at least try to get along with him. He walked back over to Dee and lay beside her on the opposite side to the one Cloud was on. He nosed her cheek gently and smiled.

Nightingale's ears flicked hearing the whinny "Inferno?" she called in a concerned voice. Gasping as she watched the falling mare. "Oh this..this isn't good" she said dashing out. Her long legs somewhat warm from her long coat, but even the shire could have her limits. "Oh the cave is only a few feet" she said squinting through the worsened cold. Trotting her tried to find the two.

"I would still die before harming you." He scooped her head with his neck and made his way toward the cave. He nickered reassuringly to his mare as he shivered and moved along. Reaching the cave he released the mare and nosed her shoulder. "You can lie alone if you choose. But the cave is warm and without winds or snow." With all rhe bodies in and around the cave it was warmed up. Moving in he headed to take his spot by Iris, Nosing Cowgirl to come in as well.


Dee smiled as he came to her. Settling beween the two bodies she warmed. The small mare noswd him back and lied her head between her two friends with a huff of being content.

Nightingale blinked in the snow, seeing white all around her. She couldn't hear Inferno nicker, nor see him go towards the cave. Her ears flattened, and she felt her stomach drop. "Oh dear" she murmured walking in circles, trying to see through the flying flurries. The shire felt her coat began to get frostbite, she sighed nosing the ice from her. Theres no way she'd be able to get back until the storm lifted
