No one else can see it when he does it, so it can make him look strange. Basically he can see and practically control electronic things without a remote or an electronic thing.
History (how you obtained this power): He was wondering how phones could connect to one another when the gas hit him. In the gas he dropped his phone, but lights flashed around him and if he touched them, he could read what the said or he could look into them. He walked away, before anyone noticed.
