Sorrow Of An Iris
Warmth began to seep into her body as Inferno took the snow off of her. She snorted softly and took deep heavy breaths her sides heaving. She raised her head and let it rest on the floor. She shifted her weight and leaned her small frame against Inferno taking in as much warmth as she could. "Thank..." She managed to say before forcing out another. "You..." She sighed softly and watched the white snow storm flicker madly and take all of its anger out on the horses. She could have died out there.If it wasn't for Inferno, she would have been freezing to death.

Far Away In Pictures
Pixar smiled softly. "I have no problem in the world with helping a mare like you." He lowered himself to the ground, folding his long grey legs underneath him sharing his warmth to Hope. "My name is Far Away IN Pictures. Pixar is good enough." He introduced himself calmly watching the storm quietly. His ears where perked as he listened to the howling of the wind rattle the tree branches outside.

Broken smiled nodding "Well Harmony, it's a pleasure to be aqauanited" he said. Admiring her mane and coat. "If you don't mind me asking..what were you doing out there?" he blinked in surprise. He was out looking for food..although there never was much. Reaching out he groomed the rest of the snowflakes from the small mare's frame.

Nightingale walked back in the cave, her teeth chattering softly. White speckles dotted the black in her coat. She sighed shaking her head softly. "It's..unbelieveable" she muttered, laying down a few yards away from the duo. Blinking the ice crystlas from her eyes.

She snuggled into him slightly, enjoying the warmth of the other horse since her own small body and thin layer of coat didn't provide much warmth at all. "That's a very interesting name" she commented. It was quite unique "I'm Hope's Eternal Flame, but I tend to go by Flame" she nickered to him gently. "I used to live in the mountains, but the storm forced me to come down".

She nodded in agreement "I haven't seen another horse in so long. I was just out there looking for a new home. You see, I used to belong to humans, until I had a little accident while I was pulling their sleigh" she shrugged. "So I ended up here and luckily, you found me" she said happily. "What about you? Surely a stallion like you has a big herd with many mares in it?" she wondered.

"You can come closer so you don't freeze too Nightingale. What is unbelievable?" Inferno asked, his ears flicking. He nosed Iris in a silent reply and hoped she would rest. His head turned to the black mare, focusing in curiosity. A lot of things were unbelievable around here. He was beginning to warm up thankfully himself.



"Alright. Thanks." She could not disguise the shiver in her voice as the frosty light colored mare headed off a few trudging steps the way he had pointed. She was intrigued by him, and would not mind talking to him more. Dee flicked the snow from her hocks with her flaky dark tail, squinting into the snow that stung her face nose and eyes.

Far Away In Pictures
He calmly loaned his warmth to the small mare. "Your name is also quite unique." It rolled off of his tongue easily and a small grin formed. "Hope is the only feeling stronger than fear." He glanced down calmly at the small mare smiling. "Did you know that? Do you mind if I call you Hope? It seems to suit you better than Flame." He admired her pretty coat smiling softly.

She snorted softly as she became warm again. She shook out her black mane and perked her ears at the storm. Her coat was dusted with blue roan dapples and it was very shaggy from her winter fur. Also it had grown dramatically in size when she first came here, so she was used to it. It the winter her fur was sleek and soft and held a lot of warmth usually.

"Humans?" he blinked his eyes gleaming with delight and intrest "I've always wanted to see a human" he sighed. Only in a dream "Huh? Oh. No..not exactly" he said pressing his back against the thick trunk of the tree "I don't have a herd really." he said shuffling on his hooves. "Well..not really. I don't have a herd..atleast not yet"

Nightingale shook her head "I'm alright thank you" she smiled laying her head down. "Everything" she sighed "In all my years..I..I've never seen it this bad" she said blowing on her frozen hooves. Her ears flattened upon the roar of the wind.

HOPE'S ETERNAL FLAME
She listened contently as he spoke to her about the feeling of hope. She pricked her ears at his question "Oh, really?" she asked, wondering how he saw Hope as a more fitting name for her. "Well, of course. You may call me Hope if you like, but your the only one" she said to him.

HARMONIOUS WHISPERS
The golden made nodded "Well, I used to love my humans, but I lost faith in them" she shrugged, remembering the tragic night when they had driven her to her limits. She shook her head to try and forget about those days. "It all depends on whether the humans are kind or cruel" she explained with a slight smile at the stallion.

CLOSER TO THE EDGE
He adjusted the path with which he walked to try and sheiks the mare from the biting freeze. Soon a tall line of trees appeared in front of the horse. He looked back at the mare and stood aside so she could go into the shelter before him. "In there" he nickered and blocked her from the wind.

"Oh." he nodded nosing her kindly "I'm sorry. I wouldn't have asked if I didn't know" he smiled weakly, laying at the base of the tree, patting the spot next to him with his tail. "Well..are you looking for a herd?" he asked "I mean you don't have tostay. You can leave at anytime" he continued.

He gave a soft smile. "All of my pleasure goes into being the only one to call you Hope." He held his breath for a minute before perking his ears at the cave entrance where the freezing cold howled in rage. "You really shouldn't be alone like this you know." He said calmly. "Would you like to begin a herd with me?" He inquired calmly. If she said no, he wouldn't mind.

"Oh.Nice." Dee grinned and followed, her snowy pelt really soaking in now.She appriciated his eagerness to help her out. Sheltering from the cold she flicked her ears and attempted a shake of her mane to get rid of some of the attached snow. She shivered lightly.

Inferno nodded. "Yes it is. At least winter does not last forever. Even if it seems so. I am going to try and catch some sleep. Stay in here, both of you if you would so I know you are not hurt or lost out there." Lying his brown head down, the stallion remained against Iris. He would probably stick close to her until she seemed strong enough to go about on her own. Personally he wanted her to join with him and Nightingale. They cohld keep each other company.Warm breath on her now visible fluffy roan coat, he breathed his scent on her before falling into a dozing state, hoping most that Nightingale would stay in the cave. She seemed to be the one that would leave if any.
