Nightingale jumpedi n surprise. "so..I'm not entirley alone" she smirked. Her heat was late as always, but in a few days she'd be in season. Raising a brow, she examined the tall bay, speculating if he was the right stallion. Giving a startled blink as she was lightly nipped. She hesitated at first, wondering if her 'wants' really were 'needs'. Biting her lip softly, she weighed out her possiblities. Ethier die in the frozen tundra, or be protected by a maybe very reckless stallion. Sighing she lifted her head high "I'd love to join you" she smiled

Broken's ears flicked at the frightened whinny, he galloped towards the source. Blinking as he was greeted by a firey gold mare. "This isn't a safe place" he said blinking through the harsh blizzaring cold. Tugging on her mane lighty, he lead her to maybe the only surviving tree in the land. Evergreens never loose their leaves, and that he liked.

Sorrow Of An Iris

A roan mare lied in the middle of a field full of snow. Her roan coat was dappled with snow, and she blended in almost perfectly wit her surroundings. She was cold, hungry and lost. She had one hope that something would come and end her life so she wouldn't freeze to death. Or some horse that could help her to some shelter. Iris had her doubts that anybody would find her in this horrid weather. Maybe she was just ,meant to die alone. Maybe her life meant nothing to anybody else.

Pixar twitched his delicate grey ears snorting softly. He stared at his visible breath for a minute before turning back to Hope. "I have a cave nearby. I only checked out here to see if any mares like you where lost." He stated calmly. "I can take you there if you'd like. You won't be alone out here in the cold." His deep voice was very easy to hear. Snow dappled his coat, which hid some of his grey dapples on his tall bulky frame. He was quite tall for his height.

Sailor's Light + Jinx's Sundown
{ Mare + Filly } { Loners } { 4 Years Old + 5 Months Old } { Jinx's Sundown + Is One } { No Heat + To Young }

Sailor perked her ears and guarded her filly from the harsh snow. She snorted softly and turned to the talking voice. "In fact we do. I don't feel like loosing my filly in the storm." She murmured softly and dropped her head, nibbling on Jinx's mane softly waking the small filly up. Jinx shivered and Sailor nuzzled her softly again. "You have to stand up. You won't live if you sleep out here." She murmured softly to Jinx. Jinx whinnied with protest but stood up anyways, staying under her mother's belly from the cold harsh snow that pelted her buckskin coat. Sailor guarded Jinx from the snow.

Her ground length tail skimmed over the snow.Her back was blanketed with the chilly substance,and she lipped at what fell from her forelock.The proud mare lifted her head an neighed as loudly as she could,feeling it reverberate and the vibrations tickled her ears.Before the sound had finished it's long echo she was long gone,galloping away.Bloody dug her hooves down hard into the snow,pushing herself forward as she weaved in between bare trees that offered little coverage.

Her eyes wandered up to look into his dark ones, she didn't know what she was getting herself into, but it had to be better than hanging around in this bitter freeze and dying. She nodded to him in agreement "Alright, I'll be right behind you" she assured him and flicked her light tail to send flakes of snow from out of it's hairs. This stallion seemed gentle enough, but she knew better than to trust at first glance.

Her heart skipped a beat as a strong looking stallion galloped to her side. She barely heard his words through the screeching air, but she manageed to make out just enough of it to know what he meant. She felt him tugging at her long mane and followed where he lead her, wanting to get out of this cold. She sneezed as snowflakes fluttered into her nostrils.

The stallion loomed forwards walking slowly taking careful steps through the deep snow. He calmly snorted and glanced back over his shoulder to make sure the mare was still there and following him. The trip wasn't long, but his stomach churned a little bit. He had a bad feeling that some mare was alone and dying slowly in the freezing weather. He snorted and shook out his long dark grey mane.

>>. Anybody open for a mare freezing to death?

He nodded. "Trust me. I am not irresponsible." he flicked his ears. "Why don't we see if we can find anyone else in need of help? I could meet you along the way. I am Inferno." The stallion nickered with a polite nod. he still had a lot of instincts from army training, his manners being one of them. That training made his persona. Flicking his dark tail, he let out a social whinny to anyone with ears. Inferno could see Iris through the snow, concern in his eyes. "All of you poor sweets must be freezing." He nickered to Nightingale and nosed her to follow as he called to Iris, the roan mare looking lonesome.

Dee jumped. "Oh. Oh hello. I am fine really...this coat is like a polar bear's. But thanks. Who are you?" The light mare asked with a tilt of her head. She sniffed him in greeting, remembering his scent. Flicking her dark tail, she tried to ignore her early heat smell. Her ears swiveled around curiously.

The blue roan mare lifted her head, but she couldn't see. Snow covered her frame and it looked like she was wrapped in a white blanket. She shivered madly as the snows coldness seeped into her fur. It chilled her to her bones freezing the pretty mare to death. She shivered madly, but you couldn't see it. He ears where laid sideways, showing a sign of defeat. She tried to shake out her mane to get the snow off of her blur roan head, but she was to cold to move. To cold to even say something.

The lithe young mare almost stubled over a large chunk of ice, but regained her balance as quickly as she could. She trotted after him, her eyes fighting to stay open as the bitter breeze shot into her eyeballs. Her gaze flicked around, she could see so many horses, it made her heart heavy. So many were out there, in this harsh ice, dying. She wanted to help them, but she was helpless, a victim to winters wicked clutches.

He titled his head curiously, not entirely convinced that she was alright, but he wouldn't fuss over her if she didn't wish for that. "My name is Closer To The Edge" he nickered gently with a dip of his regal head. "But, please call me Edge" he explained to her. "What about you, who are you and why are you all alone out here?" he asked, slightly concerned.

Broken blinked through the blizzard, His eyes stinging with each blow of the wind. "Bless you" he said through the roar of the snow. His ears flicking for any audiable sound possible. He tugged her mane alittle to the left, to let her know to turn left. "We're almost there" he yelled, blowing the ice the best he could out of his eye. He sighed in relief upon seeing the tall, dark green trees.

Nightingale nodded, prancing behind him. Barely able to make out the other mare, "Oh my stars!" she exclaimed noticing how the mare looked as if she were to topple over any moment. The other mare couldn't have been an year older than her. Blinking against the wind, she coughed as some ice made it's way down her throat, feeling the dangerous shards burn and sting her lungs.

The golden mare shook out her long mane and smiled slightly "Thanks" she practically shouted the word through the loud screeches of the wind. She looked up ahead and could see the shapes of tall trees. finally, after endless days in the snow and ice she would be able to find shelter and rest for a bit. She was very grateful to this stallion.
