Ok so I gave this one person their Auto Win pet. We traded, 2 months later they asked for their pet back, not nicely but VERY rudley!!!! I cancelled and they threatened to tell the mods that I did a bunch of other things that would get e kicked off! Honestly I forget how this ended! Ughhhh, only 13 and up should be on here honestly!!!

That confuses me greatly too! People go on and on about how much they want a certain pet, they get it, get "bored" with it, and trade it/auction it away for another "OMG MY BIGGEST DREAM PET EVER"

I think people don't really comprehend the concept of a dream pet. They feel it is "Whatever I want right now really badly" not "The one pet I really want to own out of all of them on this site".

My dream pet was the Joker when I joined. There are other pets that I -like-. But the Joker was the one dog I really wished to have. Some very nice folks helped me get one, and I still have him, and I will always have him. He is not for trade at any price, ever... and I have no other dream pet. That was it.

It cheapens the idea of a dream to change it constantly, imo.. that is why I no longer listen to people who come to trade with me offering the "Oh it's my dream pet" song and dance. I don't trust that they really mean it. Plus they almost never offer anything worthwhile and I'm not a charity.

Edit: More specifically on topic... Man, Auctions are paining me these days. People are being so incredibly unrealistic in their expectations. Seriously, you think you're going to get July and August 08s in exchange for the Malk staff dog? .... no. Of course, if they do, I'm putting mine up for auction, because I have several and I'd not turn down Galaxies and Moon dogs and Sorbets for them. *laugh*

I don't like it when other people add onto their friends' bid ;-_- how is that fair for the rest of the bidders if someone has friends helping? You don't go into an auction in RL and have a friend help your bid out. If YOU want something it should be YOU who does all the work end of story!

I think it's nice. I mean, I have friends who said they'd help me with auctions and find pets if ever I needed the help. And sometimes you get a person who has all their dream pets, so they want to help their friends out. *shrug*

Yeah but sometimes it can also be a case of multiple accounts and you COULD get banned.

There's a difference between cheating to win an auction and having a friend help you, and I think we all know that. It might be cheating if the player joined two days ago, but most of these people who help each other have been on here for a long time and have gotten to know each other very well.

It could be seen as unfair, since some people have to bid against multiple others for the same pet. I wouldn't say it shouldn't be allowed but it can be annoying, especially if it is a very much wanted pet or you've spent ages looking for it.

But the friend could just trade them the pet without telling anyone and you'd never know the difference so...

Then we should ban giving rares as gifts, because it's the same basic difference. We all have to work hard to get the pets we want, and some of us have friends that say they're going to help us. And what about newbies who don't have many good pets? It's nice if their older friends can help them out.

Yes, when I joined. I didn't know anybody so I had to start off with ONLY very common pets and I got my first higher than un-common pet (It was rare) after a long time. Then on the other hand, people are getting VERY RARES pets for free after they just joined. Unfair?
