Maria comes off as very timid, quiet and obediant. Really she just acts that way to be proper, and to keep from losing her job. She is very bold and clever if she feels comfortable around someone. Maria's mother taught her how to read at a young age and Maria educated herself by reading books on a great of topics. She is funny and kind, and tries to
find the best in everything.

She was born in Elyadon. She never met her father and never will. He was very high up in society and him and Maria's mother wern't supposed to be together. Maria grew up in poverty with her mother, they were barely scraping by on her mothers wages as a governess. During this time she had a rather difficult life that she tries to forget. When Maria was twelve she ran away and got a job at the castle as a maid, and has worked there since then.

Serena smiled softly as her sibling entered the room. She quickly finished the grape she was eating. "Goodmorning, Nick." she replied. The girl listened to her brother and nodded at the end. "Yes. I'm quite nervous, honestly." she admitted. "But that's only because I am a terrible dancer. I won't be sure if I will see the Eldest Prince of Avalon. It's a masquerade dance after all..." Serena seemed to drift off into thoughts, Nick's words let her think. "It is normal to be nervous, I guess." she replied, her gaze fixing on the dark blue ball gown which laid on the other side of her room.

Nick nodded and smiled at Serena. She look distractedly at her gown. "It's beautiful," said Nick, "The gown. You'll be the center of attention, you and Arabella and Roxanne. Come on, you should be getting ready. I'll call in a maid for you." Nick smiled at Serena and walked out the room. He saw a maid carrying an empty tray and told her, "Please tell Victoria Lacy to go and help Princess Serena with her dress. We will be travelling to Avalon soon."

Nick walked back to his bedroom and got dressed himself. Although he did have servants who were supposed to help him, Nick didn't really like having so many people helping, he preferred just doing these simple things by himself. He grabbed his mask and a bag of his clothes, he'll change into the clothes set out for him for the Harvest Dance later, when they arrived at Avalon palace. He polished off his breakfast and went to his music lesson.

Music was basically the center of Nick's personality. It shaped him and moulded him into what he was today. To be honest, Nick really didn't need music lessons, the professor simply gave him harder pieces to practice and was there to point out certain spots in which he should use more vibrato, on the cello, or more dynamics and emotions. Nick sat down on the piano seat, his long fingers settling on the keys, as if they belonged, and he played. The music flowed out of him, he closed his eyes, he had been practicing for quite a while, it was not needed of him to continue with this piece, but he enjoyed it, it was a piece that allowed him to calm down and forget all his worries. When he finished, he sighed contentedly and started the next piece, and then the next, the professor pointing out a few tips every now and then. The hours flew past quickly, even after the professor left, he continued until noon. Then he picked up his bag of clothes and went to his awaiting carriage. Tristan hopped in and sat, waiting for everyone to settle in. He drummed his fingers against his knee, closed his eyes and started humming a tune.

Lucas made he way out into the courtyard from the kitchens. He spent most mornings down there before Prince Aiden was awake; talking with the cook or the scullery maids. If he was lucky, he got a small portion of whatever the princes and princesses where having for breakfast.
He shielded his eyes from the noon sun, eying the procession of carriages. He highly suspected Aiden wasn't up yet; as many of the carriages seemed unoccupied. Besides, he had not been notified of the Prince's awakening. It was not his job to awaken the Prince on time; it was the maids.
Casually, he lent slightly against the wall. He hadn't even bothered getting dressed for the masquerade ball. As per usual his red tunic bearing the Elaydon coat of arms hung over a light coat of chain mail. Lucas' gloved hand rested gently on the hilt of his sword. His hair was pushed back in its usual ungainly manner. In his right hand, he held a wooden mask in the shape of an elongated birds beak. It was painted white with intricately inked engravings around the eye holes. He thought he had better bring a mask; just incase someone requested he get into the spirit of things.
