Crystal's eyes grew wide 'Yes!, she's making me go!'

she thought to herself. She placed her hand on the Princess's "Thank you, but no one will pay attention to a maid" she said giving her a small hug. Crystal suddenly remembered Oh yes!, you need to go eat now, then you have to do your duties, and see to it that you are ready to go" she reminded her "Now i must leave you Princess, but be down soon, and maybe i can sneak by my duties to help you escape" she giggled opening the door and slowly backing out, winking at the Princess.

"Crystal wait!" she called after the girl. "After we're done eating, say you're going to help me get dressed, and bring your things for the dance as well. We can help each other get ready, if you like." She smiled as she stood and went to the door.

Crystal could'nt deny, "Well...it sounds like a plan!" she said happily. She smiled to herself and glanced behind her as a voice called her name "Oh! i have to leave you now, but of course i will, bye!" she waved running down the hall. She rushed down and started to put the new carriage decorations up as told, making it look wonderful.

Valisa sighed when her sister didnt answer and made her way downstairs. She nodded to all the maids who were busy at work and went out to where tyler was. "Sir Tyler?" She called out. She wanted to know if he was going to attend the harvest ball. She knew that knights could not guard her or her sisters or brothers but she wanted him to at least be there.

Tyler looked up when he heard his name. He turned around to see Valisa, one of the princesses. He smiled at her before he bowed. "Goodmorning, princess." he said politely. He put his sword away and raked a hand through his hair. "How can I be of service to you?"

"Excellent," Arabella said to herself. She looked around the room and examined herself in the mirror, before spinning on her heels and heading out of her room. She wandered the halls, not really wanting to go to supper or to have to help set up guest rooms. Soon she arrived at the library, her favorite place.

Scarlett pricked her horses sides as they trotted through the City gates. The guards new her; in fact they were regulars of the tavern. A few rabbits hung from the back of her beaten saddle, long dead from precise arrow wounds. She had been up early this morning. With the Elyadon courtiers coming to town, she was sure that the tavern would be busy. It made sense that she got the hunting out of the way early. As soon as the sun had begun to peak over the hilltops she had been out; hunting the unsuspecting bunnies.
Gently Scarlett slowed the cob as they began to make their way through the lower quarter. The grey mare pulled her hooves high, splashing through the muddy puddles. Scarlett weaved her way through the streets which were becoming busy already. Peasants beginning to set up their market stalls on the streets. Scarlett kept her head low; her face and body shadowed by a long, flowing cloak that trailed down onto her mare's dappled hindquarters.
It was the masquerade ball tonight; but it hadn't even occurred to her to go. Dances? Ball gowns? Those luxuries were reserved for the courts; not peasants like herself.

Crystal went to the library to look for a book for the chef to make a special meal for the family if they were hungry when they returned. She spotted the Princess "Sneaking away from breakfast i see" she said to her examining a book and turning to face her smiling. "I can wait to show you my gown!" she said happily. She eyed the Princess once more "Are you sure you dont want...an apple?" She suggested handing her a red juicy apple freshly picked.

"I-well, thank you," she smiled as she took the red fruit. "Breakfast is always the same, same boring conversations with the same boring people. Too bad we couldn't have some of the maids or the knights sit with us." She looked at the old spine of a well-worn book, then looked back up at Crystal and smiled. "I can't wait to see your gown," she smiled. "But you best keep it a secret until tonight."

Crystal looked at her hands and, then she looked at the end of the Princess's dress "Well Princess it has been a secret, but i have been to almost every ball you have been to, remember that conversation you had with your family and guests, about the Harvest and everyone's dress and the young lady in purple that started it..well,..." she said no more in fear she would be in trouble. Crystal winced waiting for the princess to reply. She knew she would be in trouble if the older brother and King and Queen found out.
