Welcome to Gotham... A city of sorrow, sin, and psychopathy. Everyone here is either a criminal or civilian and if you're the later... There's a good chance you'll become the former. This is not a peaceful place... The Mob's hands are in everything, and they are choking Gotham of everything it has ever held dear. There is one place in the city above all others that is herald of Gotham's doom. It is The Narrows... The world of the Rogues.

In this dank and depressing underworld, there is only one man that is dark enough to rival them, but good enough to stop them. This man... is Batman.

The Rogues are back and they are ready for their revenge. They've been beaten down for the last time and they will stop at nothing to take back their city. They're banding together and will be using their skills and savoir-faire to end the Batman.

However, the Rogues aren't the only ones to be banding together for the fight of their lives. Batman's gathering all of his allies, all of his friends, and all of his strength to beat down these notorious villains, and keep the city in the people's hands...

Filling the thread with OOC comments will be considered spam. It is alright to use it every now and then but when you do, don't be excessive and try to use -~{{(([[brackets]]))}}~-
No God-modding, power-playing or Gary & Mary Sues.
There is no such thing as a perfect character. There just isn't. You are not able to have the invincible character who can withstand a bullet to their heart. Unless, of course, it has something to do with their powers or something. Otherwise, I will make you edit your post. No character will walk away from a battle unharmed unless it is a part of a plot. If it does have something to do with a plot, please inform me or a mini-mod so we won't get onto you for it. Don't try to be a control freak either.
No killing off other member's characters.
This one speaks for itself. Don't kill without their permission.
You can only reserve a character for a limited amount of time.
It is not fair to other members who really want a character and have been waiting a long time for them. Characters will only be reserved for a total of five days at the most. If there is something going on in your life that prohibits you from being able to complete a form within the time frame, PM me and I will extend your time by adding another day or two.
Drama is very welcome.
By "drama", I mean betrayal, deception, etc. A bit of romance is allowed. If you have read the rules, put "Bane FTW" somewhere in your form.
Any character from any universe is allowed.
So, this means you can have any character you want. It doesn't matter if they're from DC, Marvel, or whatever else is out there. You are not just limited to Batman characters! Currently not accepting OCs.

This role-play will only allow two characters for each member max. You can only begin with one character and wait until a good amount of people have joined before adding a second character. I will make an announcement when it would be a good time to do so.

I expect you to respect other members of the roleplay, me, and my mini-mods with respect. I believe you're mature enough not to argue over childish reasons. If there is a problem, do take it over PM. Otherwise, you will receive a warning. Instead of "Bane FTW", put "Johnny-boy's toxins" somewhere in your form.
You only have three warnings.
If me or one of my mini-mods find you disobeying any of our rules, you will receive a warning. Each member has only three warnings before they are banned from the roleplay. So, watch yourself!

Charlie stands at 5"7 with a slender build. She is very lithe, having a thin waist and semi-wide hips. The woman has a little muscle from frequent exercises. She takes after her mother, having rather pale skin, a perfect complexion, hazel-green eyes, and beautiful reddish brown hair. She is not entirely sure if this is a gift or a curse, seeing her mother every time she catches a glimpse of her reflection. Charlie comes from a rather wealthy family and has always had the luxury of not needing a job. Her father is the kind of person to spoil his child. He feels the urge to take care of anything financial for Charlie. Frankly, Charlie doesn't enjoy his assistance too much. It makes her feel useless. Her and her father, despite their different views on the world, are very close. The young woman would do anything to protect him. She lost her mother when she was merely seven, witnessing her brutal murder during a hostage situation. Charlie also has an older brother, Jeremy Adams, who joined the US Military some six years ago. She misses him dearly and prays for his safety, hoping for his return in a month or two. As for Anastasia, she has been Charlie's friend since she was a toddler. Unfortunately, when Charlie moved with her father and brother to try and forget the haunting death of her mother, the two lost contact for the longest time. But now, Charlie is back and the two are even staying as roommates for the time being. In all honesty, Charlie has never truthfully "loved" someone even though she has dated many boys. She has yet to experience the strong emotion and has a longing to find the one for her.

The Past..
Charlie grew up with nearly everything handed to her. She always had the nicest toys, the nicest clothes, everything a girl could want. Her life was perfect. Charlie was forced to be home-schooled, receiving her own personal tutors. She didn't mind too much, as long as they allowed her to leave the dreaded mansion after each learning session. Her parents preferred to keep her within the walls of their large home. They refused for the young girl to stray outside of the property, having maids and other servants keep an eyes on the little adventurer. Fortunately, Charlie was a sly one; she managed to tiptoe downstairs every night and slip out the door whilst making little to no sound. Once outside, the young child would wind around the house towards the back. The property was surround by a large iron gate fence which was impossible to squeeze through and was locked. Luckily, Charlie had located an escape route, which was really just a large stone sitting in the corner of the fence. She was able to climb up the side of the stone, using any crevice or edges she could reach to aid her. Once up, she would hop over, landing messily in a bush. Yes, she got scraped every now and then from doing this but it was worth it.
From there, the girl roamed the streets, curious as to how others lived around her. What she found intrigued her greatly- grimy alleys, abandoned buildings, and even the cracks in the pavement. Usually girls her age would be terrified to explore the outside world on their own but Charlie embraced the chance to see everything for herself. So, she continued to sneak out. One night, she met her future best friend, Anastasia. The strange girl both shocked and awed Charlie- she wore dirty clothing and paced up and down the street, kicking small stones that happened to be sitting in her path. The girl approached the stranger and greeted her with a cheerful smile. This started a long conversation between the young children and soon, Charlie was visiting Anastasia every night, talking to her and asking questions. The two became instant friends.
Everything was going perfectly in Charlie's life; she had a great family with a shelter over her head and a new friend. She thought nothing could ever ruin this. But... Did her thinking that jinx it?

Charlie uses a liquid silver R6 as her transport. It used to be her older brother's. She also keeps a 3-year-old rottweiler, named Deuce, as a pet. The young woman lives in a larger-sized apartment near the center of the city with her roommate, Anastasia. Thanks to her father, Charlie is able to afford living in such a fine apartment. Without his financial boost every now and then, they would be living in trashy apartment or even the streets. Charlie is currently "working" as a intern at Arkham Asylum, hoping to one day become one of the psychiatrists. Then she could maybe pay for herself.

He's a man who has everything...and nothing. Sure, he has changed alot before Iron Man came into the picture, but Tony Stark still keeps some of his insecurities and flaws. He is charming, clever, and mostly arrogant. Tony believes he can get whatever he wants, with good intentions, of course. He's somewhere between Neutral and Chaotic Good, not really known for risking everything, although he has morals to follow like everyone else. Tony has struggled with alcoholism for some time, because of the stresses of being a super hero. He can be a womanizer, no doubt, and has tried to stay away from this, since his recent romance with his secretary, Pepper.
Bio:
Born to Howard and Maria Stark, Tony is the heir to Stark Industries, a weapons manufacturer for the U.S. military. People revere Howard Stark as a hero because of his contribution to war efforts and his engineering work on the Manhattan Project, and Tony follows in his father’s footsteps. A true engineering prodigy, Tony builds his first circuit board at age four and his first engine at six. At seventeen he graduates from M.I.T. summa cum laude.
Tony’s parents die in a car crash on December 17th, 1991. His father’s good friend Obadiah Stane takes control of Stark Industries until Tony turns 21 and inherits the company. As the CEO and brilliant mind behind Stark Industries, billionaire Tony Stark quickly becomes famous for his smarter weapons and improved satellite technology, going beyond his father’s work. He also becomes infamous for his tendencies to party, drink, and charm women into his bed.
But in 2008, Tony’s world turns upside down while he is in Afghanistan demonstrating to the military his latest creation, the Jericho missile. The convoy escorting him across the desert is attacked, and the Ten Rings, the terrorist group responsible, takes Tony hostage. During the attack on the convoy, a Stark Industries missile explodes near him. Shrapnel from the missile penetrate Tony’s chest and work their way toward his heart, which would have meant his death if not for the quick thinking of Yinsen, another man the Ten Rings kidnapped. Unable to remove each piece, Yinsen implants an electromagnet powered by a car battery into Tony’s chest (the socket actually reaches inside) to draw the remaining shrapnel away from his heart.
The Ten Rings hold Tony in a mountain range somewhere in the Kunar Province and demand that he build them a Jericho missile. At first he refuses and undergoes torture, but eventually he decides to trick them into believing he’ll build the missile when really he’ll orchestrate his and Yinsen’s escape. Tony and Yinsen rely on each other to survive the months in captivity. With Yinsen’s help Tony replaces the car battery with a miniaturized arc reactor, a clean energy source, and then uses it to power the Iron Man Mark I armor, which he designs and builds out of scraps. The armor allows him to fight his way out of the cell and escape the terrorist group. Sadly, Yinsen sacrifices himself in the battle to guarantee Tony’s safety.
Finally arriving home after three months of captivity, Tony Stark is a changed man. One of the first things he does is shut down the weapons division of Stark Industries, which creates uproar across the business world. He claims he wants to do better. Seeing the men in the convoy murdered while protecting him, murdered with his own weapons, opens Tony’s eyes to the reality of his business. After his announcement to cease weapons development, he lies low at the behest of Obadiah Stane and engrosses himself in a project: upgrading the Iron Man armor, starting with the arc reactor in his chest. He keeps the project secret from even his friends, Virginia “Pepper” Potts and James “Rhodey” Rhodes, and stays hidden in his workshop for several weeks. Eventually his efforts result in the Mark III armor: Tony Stark builds a superhero, Iron Man.
Soon after completing the Mark III, Tony learns how the Ten Rings obtained weapons he designed: his company, including Obadiah Stane, who is like a second father to him, has been dealing weapons under the table. He also learns that the Ten Rings are currently in the town of Gulmira, Afghanistan. Donning the Mark III armor for the first time, he flies to Gulmira to take back or destroy what is rightfully his, what he maybe should have never made.

The world seemed to swell with anguish and sorrow as the flames brewed to higher heights. Jack seemed to be losing his sense of rectitude, he continued to stir the blaze till it swallowed the town whole and all that was left was dust. The sound of human cries was no longer audible, all that could be heard was the last crackle of the fire and the roaring current of the wind. Magic to his ears."They got what was coming to them.." Jack muttered as he stared off into the bright abyss of the glare, he spit tobacco juice in the fire, walking away with supreme satisfaction in his revenge.
Long ago, he never would have dreamed of gaining vengeance over the inhuman murderer of his father, now, it was official, and only a distant memory. Perhaps now Dad could rest in peace.

He's used to the phrase,"Is it a bird? A plane?..No, it's superman!" You may think he's grown tired of it by now, when in reality he actually craves the awe and wonder bestowed by his loving admirers, the role of the hero is the only thing he can ever exist, it is his sole purpose in this universe, without it...he is nothing. Superman prefers to be called Clark by his friends, he finds it weird to be referred to by his hero name by those familiar to him. Superman is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds. His hair is jet black, with a natural curl in front, and he has blue eyes. He is always drawn with a rugged bodybuilder's physique and a square "hero's jaw" that gives him a noble physique. He is ashamed to admit he's dated more then his share of women in the past, Wonder Woman, Lois Lane, Loris Lemaris, and Maxima being a few of them. But the one he loved most was Lois Lane, the most recent, she was a human co-worker of his at the newspaper company, after they broke up, he was devastated, although he refuses to forget her, he stills mingles with other girls from time to time, his excuse being to "distract him from his depression", which is partially true. He still keeps an eye on her, just to make sure she's okay, and carries a picture of her with him everywhere.
Clark's planet, Krypton, exploded in a nuclear chain reaction caused by the planet's unstable radioactive core, killing all his family, including his father, who left him a message explaining his inheritance afterwards.
Clark has no family and no one to love, a lonely boy indeed.

In the beginning of Clark's superhero career, he was rough and aggressive. He was seen stepping in to stop wife beaters, profiteers, a lynch mob and gangsters, with rather rough edges and a looser moral code than we may be used to today. In later adventures he became, softer, and had more of a sense of idealism and moral code of conduct.
Superman is an extremely moral person, believing it immoral to kill anyone under any circumstances, and will do whatever he can to avoid it. Clark's upbringing in the Midwest largely contributes to this, as his adoptive parents raised him to do the right thing.
Superman is also a bit of a loner, in that, for much of his life, he doesn't reveal his true identity and powers to anyone, not even his closest friends. Many times they come close to figuring it out on their own, but often he will arrange an elaborate deception to trick them into believing Clark Kent and Superman are entirely separate. He's known to collect mementos of his adventures and his life in the Fortress of Solitude, and has even been known to have wax statues of all his friends there.

-Hearing: Superman can hear sound at almost any wavelength and at great distances.
-Mental Powers: Superman possesses over-average intelligence {not like a super-genius, but pretty smart} and has an eidetic memory. Superman also possessed the mental ability to screen out the enormous amount of information received by his enhanced senses, and to focus on a single detail, such as a particular voice or location. As well, his speed reading abilities were much like that of the Flash. He was able to absorb large amounts of information quickly; whether it entered his short term or long term memory is hazy.

The Past..
Superman is the sole survivor of the planet Krypton. His father, Jor-El, discovered that a nuclear chain reaction was building inside Krypton that would soon shatter the entire world. Jor-El therefore had his unborn son Kal-El removed from the Kryptonian Gestation Chambers and affixed the life matrix containing Kal-El to an experimental vessel for travel through hyperspace. Jor-El launched the starcraft toward Earth just before Krypton exploded.

Superman was, in effect, born on Earth when the starcraft landed there. Jonathan and Martha Kent found the infant inside the vessel and brought him to their farm in Smallville, Kansas. Since he appeared entirely human, the Kents assumed that the baby was a victim of a cruel experiment. At this time the baby had no super powers. The Kents named the infant Clark and raised him as their own son.

As clark grew older his Kryptonian body began developing superhuman abilities. When Clark was eighteen, took him to the field where his starcraft still lay hidden and explained how he and Martha had found him. Clark resolved to use his powers from then on only for the good of mankind. After revealing his secret to his childhood friend, Lana Lang, Clark left Smallville to study at Metropolis University.

Clark initially used his powers covertly to help people and prevent or thwart disasters. Ultimately, he was forced to use his powers in public to prev ent the crash of a NASA space-plane. Thereafter he and his foster parents devised a new costumed secret identity he would adopt when using his abilities in public. They called his new persona "Superman," the name given him by Lois Lane, a reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet who had been aboard the space-plane.

Shortly afterward, Clark obtained a job as a reporter for the Daily Planet by turning in his first detailed story about Superman. He currently enjoys a freelance status with the Planet.

Some time ago Superman journeyed to an otherdimensional "pocket universe" that had its own Krypton and Earth. After defeating three Kryptonians native to that universe who had murdered the entire population of its Earth, Superman executed the trio, believing there was no other way to stop them. The tremendous guilt Superman felt over this act combined by the psychic manipulation by his foe Braniac, caused him to develop a temporary split personality. Believing himself to be potentially dangerous to humanity, Superman exiled himself to space, eventually taken prisoner by the forces of the alien tyrant Mongul. During this time Superman resolved never to kill again...."

Superman lives by the traditional moral values instilled in him by his foster parents. Superman is an idealist, devoted to promoting "truth, justice, and the American way," and has proved over and over that he is a true hero, capable of whatever bravery and self-sacrifice is necessary to right a wrong or save a life.

He has taken employment as a part-time journalist/news reporter, occasionally investing interest into travelling photography. Clark tries to be inconspicuous, so he gets by with a measly apartment and a rusty old Ford '75. Although it's not the American dream, he finds it tolerable.
