I think you will be fine. I don't know for sure, but its probably within a few weeks of the 18th.

The UR Butterfly bunny is not actually UR- the design is simply based off of the UR Butterflywolf.
The UR Butterfly bunny was normally released during the '09 Easter event. Compared to all other rabbits on the site, it is the rarest and is worth quite a bit. But it's not actually UR =]

The only people who know exactly are Nick, tess, and probably the Admin Assistants. But you should be ok as your account was created on the 6th of this month. But again, it may not.
Just make sure you don't do any cheating, like multiple accounts or scamming so you can enjoy the day

It's to prevent people from creating extra cheating accounts on the 18th purely for adopting the pets. =]

Its so people who create multiple accounts for the 18th cannot adopt. Its all explained on the front page
