Her head snapped up and she stammered, "No no no! Not at all! I just... I don't take compliments well... I guess because I normally don't get any that aren't related to how I look." She gave a shaky smile and a small laugh. She didn't mind that kind of attention, truthfully she loved it. But she had no clue how to handle attention that wasn't directed towards that subject.

He managed a small smile, "Want to go on a walk?" He asked.

[float away.]

"Sure. Where to?" She rose slowly, sweeping her tail behind her, knocking off the dirt that had clung loosely to the ends. Shaking herself, Copperwhisker watched the white and black warrior, head slightly tilted.

"Towards the river?" He offered with a secret knowing gleam in his eyes.

"Alright." Copperwhisker didn't register the look, she was preoccupied by the fact that this tom had asked her to accompany him. Her heart fluttered as different scenarios played out in her head.

Thunderbelly eyed the creature as she explained what she was. So her name was Scarlett... He visibly relaxed as she seemed to come to an agreement with Ravenclaw. He'd rather have an ally than another enemy, and anyone was welcome in his book when it came to confronting Darkclan. "Well welcome Scarlett. I'm sure Dewstar will be interested in meeting you. Anyone who can... aid us during this time is more than welcome to stay for a while."

Fogmask nearly yowled in frustration. They were letting that thing stay?! She traumatized the kits, clearly displayed she was a threat, and they were inviting that vermin into their camp. His icy blue eyes narrowed as he picked up Fleetkit, padding into camp, tail and head high, fur bristling. He would not support this arrangement. He would be the first one to pounce on this 'Scarlett' as soon as she moved so much as a whisker wrong. He pushed the kit into the nursery and returned to his station, further away from the others. Seething, he clawed furrows in the ground as he flexed his claws in and out.

Scarlett dipped her whole body in a smooth, gracious bow that caused her entire sleek coat to ripple. "Thank you, uhm... Thunderbelly." she said courteously, pausing to remember what he was called. She wasn't excactly the best with names. "Thundrbelly..." she echoed, her ear flicking forward and up in interest. "That's a very unique name. I like it." However, the felupine did not fail to notice that one tom, tongue clicking and tail lashing, had snatched up a kit by its scruff and bundle the rest of the rest inside. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she watched as the tom's tail disappeared and looked back at the rest of the cats. He looked as if he had a thorn in his pad...

He smiled and with a swish of her tail he lead her out of camp softly, his eyes gleaming and head high.

"Yeah... well if you stick around long enough you'll see why I earned that name." The chocolate tom chuckled, which sound more like a very choppy rumble than anything else. He also watched Fogmask slip away, his good humor dampened by the tom's attitude. 'He shouldn't be so upset. The kits are fine, and we've made an ally. Might it be his pride that is getting the better of him?' A sigh whistled out of his nostrils, sending a faint mist floating upwards. Shaking the bad feeling that was trying to worm its way into the back of his mind, his steady gaze returned to Scarlett.

Copperwhisker followed, nearly prancing because of how high she rose her paws. The dark ginger she-cat had always walked like this, every since kithood. She had gone through a phase where she had hated anything touching her paws and took to high stepping and carefully placing each paw. Though she grew out of the placement, she never had managed to completely rid herself of the strange gait.

He chuckled softly, "You seem as hyper as a kit," He said as they sound of the river grew in his ears. He smiled, this was the perfect place.
