Copeland looked back, to where the scent was coming from, then cantered after the stallion,and the other mare. She went along beside them, ears raised. She swatted her tail to the side, glancing around. She had never been here before, and was still kind of on edge, but trusted the stallion.

Oak slowed to a trot as he came into glade. "Careful!" he warned the mares, "the ground's very uneven here, but the grass hides it well." He came to a halt, the shadows cast by the overhanging tree branches and rocky ledges dappling his golden coat, making him blend in to his surroundings."We should be safe here," he said to them, thinking quickly that he'd better explain himself. "You should by no means feel obliged to me for this, I helped you because protecting mares is instinctual to me. You're feel free to leave when it's safe." He switched his rippling ebony tail, wondering if perhaps he could have explained himself a little better.

Riv:
I scent other horses near by and look around. I see that Tachee and I are the least injured and most aware of the surrounding, so I go up to her.
"Would you come with me to find these strange horses I scent in the air? I don't want them near my band, especially since I must leave to foal soon. Would come with me?" I ask kindly. I know that it is not far from time for to leave. I hope that Tachee can fill my role as lead mare while I am birthing my third foal.

(Not much, the humans came and then Riv, and the band escaped and are in the woods again for safety. Riv scents strange horses and would like Tachee to come with her to investigate. Thats about it)

"Thank you so much for your help." Nightmare looked at him with a soft expression on her face. After just this short amount of time she started to feel just slightly more comfortable around the stallion.
