Howler scented around the den. he watched the pup and his mate carefully while doing it.

Sarah sat and watched Howler.

Bronte looked around for Polarus.

Dusk yawned, the movement sending a bit of pain through his spine. He was tired and sore, from what he had no idea. Might be just the stress, but he didn't bother. Getting to his paws, he stretched in an almost feline style with an arch of the back before walking out of his den. Snow greeted him and he acknowledged it with a grimly. It was nice now that the packs were joined, having the camp in the middle was perfect but he'd have to take the pack on a hunting trip before the drifts get to large. With another yawn, Dusk decided to stroll the borders before checking up with Polarus. As he walked, Dusk reflected off of the past few days. Things have been rather peaceful, which surprised him. He'd expect this season to be the most violent, with the mates and the rival loners. But everything seemed to be on a stand still for the time being.

[growl]

"No problem." Vallerie yawned. The pine needles covering the mossy ground looked so comfy... suddenly she couldn't seem to keep her eyes open. The tiny silver fae blinked at the deer. Leaving it in the clearing with them could attract unwanted attention. "Do you mind tossing that by the stream or something?" she asked Aerie.

Fuir soon caught 3 more fish before it looked like he would have to move on since he had scared the rest away. Picking up the remaining two by their tails, he trotted in the direction of the trees, east of the lake. There he'd be able to eat in privacy.

When Vesper found the river, she sighed in relief. The top was covered in a layer of frost but with some pounding it could be broken away. She paced the banks, nosing around for a thin place where she could break the ice.

Aerie nodded, "Sure." She padded over to the deer and grabbed it tightly in her jaws. The once warm deer was becoming colder. She dragged it down hill, and placed it across the stream. She raced back up the rocky slope and layed on the pine-needles.

Mekah padded around a turn and through some trees. Her paws made a light crunch with each step as she stepped over leaves.

Bronte looked around for Polarus, she wanted to talk to him, she wanted him to tell her that it was alright.

Howler looked around for an easy meal.

Sarah watched both wolves

Vallerie closed her eyes. "Night," she mumbled to Aerie, slumping down beside her. She snuggled into the ground and tried to fall asleep.

Fuir sighed as he finished the last of the fish. They had been bony and probably weren't some of the best pickings out there, but he felt satisfied. For tonight. As he tossed the skeletons beneath a rotting log, he felt a sharp pain erupt in his lower abdomen. He whipped about wildly, convinced for a second there were hunters and he had just been hit, but no one was in sight. He sat down, pawing the throbbing area. What was wrong with him? The pain rose and fell without much of a pattern but it was always there. Fuir got unsteadily to his feet, then yelped and collapsed as his side ignited. He was on fire. (He isn't actually on fire, but feels like it. Just adding some mystery and drama since everything seems to be slowing down.)

Aerie mumbled goodnight to her friend, and slowly sunk into sleep.

Mekah looked behind her, and not seeing where she was walking, bumped into Sauver.
