Err, no thanks. I have the 40 bucks to spare, cost isn't an issue and I'd rather have the real thing, more durable, I think.. It's not like they killed the animal to get it, the animal was already dead, so.

The sheep-eater native American tribe in Wyoming used to take the horns of bighorn sheep and heat them and stretch them out to make bows for hunting. Pretty cool, eh? I decided that the bighorn sheep was me when I went to Wyoming this summer on vacation. Drove right out there, went to South Dakota too. Beautiful place, lots of animals. I stayed in Yellowstone and I saw scores of Buffalo, wolves, coyotes, Ospreys, eagles, beavers, black bears, brown bears, mountain goats, moose, elk, marmots, and all that jazz. The bighorn sheep was the coolest for me, definitely, though. I saw two literally obliterating each other on a hilltop, do you know how thick their skulls are? They'll fight to the friggen death, and you could hear the huge smack of their heads butting. A younger ram and an older one. The younger ram pretty much schooled the older one, but when I had to go because I was on a horseback tour and they frown upon leaving the group to watch animals.

Whoa, didn't mean for that to turn into a spiel...or should I say... rant. Ha ha. I'm so funny. Bask in my cleverness.

Anyways, yeah, I've always had an affinity for hooved animals, but the bighorn sheep definitely won out for the fursona thing. Watching those rams fight was one of the coolest things I've ever seen, I think. You could hear the smack of their heads and it was just astounding, really. They were also fighting on a hilltop that was littered with rocks and stuff, nothing a human would be able to do.

Snow leopard, Female. Just feet, paws, tail and ears. No head. The reason that I'm saving is because I'm about to have a kid and they are expensive, so...

For parts? Yes, they kill the animals for fur/horns. That is why some fur trade, like with tiger pelts, is illegal. You're highly unlikely to stumble upon a dead animal with its pelt perfectly intact.

Have you ever driven out West and seen dead deer laying at the side of the road? It's illegal for the person who hit the animal to claim any of the eat or the pelt or anything, so typically they lay on the side of the road and rot. The Department for Fish and Game won't let you take a hit animal or a found animal even if you have a license. So the DFG usually just donates the body to a museum, like the Buffalo Bill center in Wyoming, where all their taxidermied animals were donated by the DFG, or the bighorn sheep center where they run off donations, government funding and whatever parts of the dead animal the DFG decides to give them. I'm not really into hunting or raising animals just for their skins/horns, but it's not very hard to find something on Ebay ect. where the horns fell into the hands of the person after the animal was already dead. Certain circumstances do allow such a thing, say if the animal got onto reservation property and died because there's not a ton of water in the praire, then you have the Native Americans taking it and selling what they can of it. Nor am I talking about a perfectly intact pelt or something like that. The deal with bighorn sheep and stuff like that is you can't hunt them legally, you chances are if you have these things it's because the DFG was feeling generous or you yanked them off a carcass you found.

Yes, I have used my Fursona for RPing purposes, but not normally. I just don't see Oscar as a Roleplaying Fursona to me. Since I'm not RPing as much as I used to, But I have roleplayed with older Fursonas. Just not with Oscar ^-^. The practice? Eh, It's good I suppose. I can always become a better writer because of it.

I got this very lovely Sketch done of Aiyanna last night, I had asked for it from a lovely artist
on FurAffinity. I must say it's very well done. Also I do apologize for not being around right
now. My Laptop is acting up - So I only have my new Andriod Phone and I doubt it is free
for me to use anything other then texting, local calling and facebook app.

Have you ever used your fursona for roleplaying purposes? How do you feel about the practice?:

I often use my fursona for the purpose of roleplay though she is made to represent me
I would like to better grasp my fursona all in all. I also enjoy roleplaying so for me I believe
roleplaying is good to do with her as she represents me and thus myself as a long time roleplayer
(since Aug. 2007 I have identified myself as an Rper) I see nothing wrong with roleplaying using
your fursona or in the case fursonas.

So I was thinking and I realized I've been technically a furry my whole life. I can remember I was always drawing anthropomorphic animals when I was little and loved to play sonic (and to a lesser extent, collect My Little Ponies) I'm rather surprised it took me so long discover the fandom and I didn't even discover it by myself. I guess it must have been because I mainly only used the WWW for games and youtube or something but still you'd think I'd have discovered it sooner xD

Also, I was thinking today that I really kinda want to make my own fursuit. I was thinking how funny it would be to get some paws for my feet and hands and somehow put shoes on the feet so I can get away with wearing it to school xD I wouldn't even mind the weird looks I know I'd get. It would be totally worth it.
