Star nuzzled him and asked as she sighed, "Who did you really love before she had that horrible mate?"

"I've never loved anyone--ever. Before now. Now I love." Xiar nuzzled her back. "I really should go speak to her... I mean, after all she is my daughter. But, I'm sure her mother has put bad things about me into her head."

Dasiana then lay down and smiled happily, letting the last of the sun's rays warm her up.
