The Fifty Nifty... People? [Hetalia RP] {New and Accepting!}

After finally closing the meeting, with the mayor agreeing to allowed the Statue of Liberty to be used tomorrow, New York dismissed him and directed him to begin setting everything up. He didn't care about how urgent this situation was, no way was he going to let the other states show him up at his own monument. He would have everything in tip-top shape by tomorrow morning. Smiling a bit to himself, he realized that some habits really did just die hard. Unlocking a door, he stepped into a much larger room connected to his office, which was his main living space for most of the time. Setting down the keys on a desk as he entered, he shut the door again and walked over to one end of the room. One of the walls was actually a closet when pulled side, only this one had dust bunnies and even some cobwebs surrounding it and forming in between small cracks. New York took a deep breath and pulled the closet door aside, revealing one of the things he loves yet hated most; his uniform. He grimaced yet smiled at the sight of it, folded up neatly and perfectly even though it had been neglected for so long. New York's war uniform was a standard 2009 United States Marines Uniform. At the bottom of the closet was a pair of black shoes. Then, above those on a shelf were ocean blue pants with a single red line dripping down each leg. Stacked on top of them, also folded up neatly, was his long overcoat coat. Oh, how he loved that coat. It was a much, much darker blue than the pants, almost a black, with red accents and yellow buttons. On top of the shirt and the pants was a single snow white cap, with a black brim and a golden star in the center. Finally, to the left of the same self was a belt, as white as the cap, with a gold buckle. New York stood there for a few moments, just staring at the clothing for a while, soaking the memories it held for him.

Cami stood outside the building where she had found NY and looked around, while calling a few other states (all of them, basically) and telling them about the meeting. she decided to have a look around, since she was probably going to end up staying here until tomorrow

California hung up the phone after hearing about the meeting. Should she go? Yes, its best to go to the darn meeting and deal with New York yet she didn't want to. Standing there and listening to a huge thing about finding America this and finding America that. Okay no. That sounds boring. She was sitting on a unknown beach, Bella running around in the waves like a crazy little kid. It was a foggy day in California, all around her was fog, wind, and small drops of rain. And here she was still, sitting in the sand all alone. The beach was a good place to think, with the soothing crash of waves and the smell of salt drifting in the heavy foggy air.

Where could America be? Did a country take him? Or a human? What if they never found him? She had a few friends in other countries, well somewhat friends. But calling them would do nothing but make her sigh and think harder. Aha well, back to the point of the meeting. She couldn't go...

"A meeting? Well, might help." She walked around the house, grabbing all the things she needed until she remembered on thing; she didn't know how to drive. She'd never needed it, biking or walking was easiest to get to the closer states, and visiting other states wasn't her favorite thing to do. Rhode Island picked up her phone and dialed New Hampshire's number.

California sighed and laid back onto the sand, staring up at the thick fog that hid the sky. I really do wonder who country napped America. By now he would have appeared back and say something along the lines of, 'well I'm the hero! Nobody can steal me and get away with it!' She frowned and looked over at Bella, "I do sure hope he comes back soon...."

The above image (credit to: [link]) is a picture of Johnathan during the meetings of 1787, when the United States Constitution was formed. He retains the same hairstyle, but usually opts to wear contacts for convenience. He has also aged a bit since then and no longer looks quite as childish as he used to, adopting the appearance of a young man in his early twenties.
Clothes:

While in his own state, he tends to wear one of his favorite pairs of old jeans or overalls and a flannel shirt. When at home alone he's not hesitant to go shirtless when it's humid out. While on business he wears slacks with a vest (old habits die hard), and while outside of his 'comfort zone' (his home state) he opts for a less worn pair of jeans and in colder climates a jacket.

Friends/Rivals/Enemies:

His best friend has always been North Carolina, but his relationships with the other states fluctuates as the years go by. During the Revolution he was as close as he could be with the other twelve original colonies, but afterwards the camaraderie with the states further north began to fade. As tensions between the North and South grew leading up to the civil war, he was the first to push secession and the first to secede. During the war itself he was one of the most active and hardheaded Southern states and fought constantly with his former friends. This lead to a healthy enmity between him and his Northern siblings.

His shaky relationships with his siblings has faded to the point where he can interact with them without fighting, but he still holds some old Civil War grudges and former free states tend not to sit well with him.
Personality:

Johnny’s base personality is very relaxed. He laughs easily and often and enjoys a good flirt or chat. He’s not very serious and has become a bit out of the loop, though with the recent change in economy has been slowly getting back into his involvement with the local government.
He is a staunch Republican and a member of the Baptist Church, and like his citizens follows basically all of the Republican Party’s standpoints.
He still has a bit of resentment for the North’s victory in the Civil War, and until recently wouldn’t miss a chance to reference the North’s oppression of the South pre- and post-Civil War. He’s learned to tone it down a bit and can even be quite the charmer towards the Northern ladies, moreso the ones who weren’t involved too heavily in the Civil War.
History (Optional):

South Carolina was one of the thirteen original colonies and the first state to secede during the Civil War. As a staunch Democrat at the time (and therefore a staunch pro-slavery advocate), he had pushed for secession long before the Civil War even started, when the sectional issues were still more a matter of industry versus agriculture, urban versus rural, etc. rather than slavery.

Elizabeth has wavy ash-blonde hair that falls down to just below her shoulders. Her eyes are blue and she has a fairly young-looking face, with wide eyes, full lips, and a nose with a wide bridge. In other words her facial features still look soft and almost childlike. She is also short for her age, just reaching 5’2”.
Clothes:

Virginia often wears a modest blue or white dress while in her home state, but on business wears the typical skirt/pants and dress shirt. She always wears her dogwood pin, which depicts a branch splitting into two dogwood flowers. These flowers represent the Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.

Virginia’s closer friends are in the South, but as one of the most northern states in the South she has a fair amount of northern friends as well. Georgia is probably her best friend while Maryland drives her up the wall. However, as she is not the kind to go too far out of her social circle, she isn’t as well acquainted with most of the more western states and looks down on some of the more promiscuous ones, such as California. Especially California. She does try to remain civil, though.
Personality:

Virginia is fairly calm for a state, always attempting to be the gentlewoman. While she is a bit old-fashioned in some ways (primarily in manners and hostessing) she isn’t entirely behind the times and keeps up with the modern world, though she does miss the older days. When she was much younger and still rather uncivilized she used tobacco constantly, a fact that she tries to forget.

First English colony in the United States, had a fair bit of contact with England before the nation left the colonies to fend for themselves. Most battles fought on American soil were fought in Virginia.

New Hampshire picked up her phone. "Yeah, sis?" she asked, gathering stuff together for the meeting the next day. She sighed, desperate to save America soon. Who know's what was happening to him? Terrible things probably. NH continued to pack things, wondering if France captured him and how she would beat up the kidnapper. She was so lost in thought she forgot she was on the phone with Rhode Island.
