oh no- Discord's back. What's he gonna do now- have orange elephants and purple mice running all over Equestria? Or start turning everypony loco? YEESH! (By the way, the "orange elephants and purple mice" were mentioned in a kids' poem about Gremlins- don't ask.)

Anyone have a faviorite MLP:FIM antagonist?

Yes, I like Queen Chrysalis. I love her song and I love how she can shapeshift.

Nightmare Moon. She was the most fleshed out of all the antagonists. She had a backstory, a reason to be evil, a rockin' look, not to mention the pretty awesome fan music.

I'm gonna have an unpopular opinion here: As much as Discord was a fun character, I really don't get the Discord obsession from the fanbase. Out of the four season opening and ending villains, I would probably rank him as third on that list since he wasn't that deep a character (bottom of the list is, of course, Sombre since there's literally nothing about his backstory, motive, or personality other than "BECAUSE I'M EVIL.")

Then again I don't get the brony Trixie obsession and I'm just starting to understand the huge Luna fanbase (she's growing on me. Slowly.)

I can agree with everything you said.
I love backstory to a character, and other then Nightmare Moon, the others had basically none.

My favourite villain is Nightmare Moon.
I like her voice, as well her appearance. She has cool armor, and I
like how she has cat-like pupils and a different type of wing. Her mane
is awesome too. She also had a pretty reasonably reason as to why she
didn't like Celestia and wanted to rule Equestria.

Somebody who agrees Nightmare Moon and Princess Luna are two totally different ponies.
