Candath was still locked in battle with one the ringwraiths he charged at the other slashing at the horses flank and attempting to make the horse rear so that the rider would be thrown but he kept missing the horse was slightly faster then the large wolf he was sitting on
((Candath is the white nazgul))
Legolas blinked, his attention unwavering from the now madly shaking undergrowth. He could feel the presence of orcs, that he was sure of. But he didn't know why they ceased to attack.
He cautiously lowered his stance, furrowing his brow as he turned back to Saelweth. "They do not attack,"
Saelweth was about to reply when suddenly her eyes grew wide. "Look out!"
The Sindarin elf whipped around just in time to see Arod go pelting away into the woods, screaming in his terror. The first onslaught of orcs burst from the wood.
He hadn't been expecting a small party, but neither had he been expecting such a wave. His first shot went wild and he whipped out his knife. Saelweth's elk reared back and retreated a few steps.
The orcs surrounded Legolas. He could smell their breath and see their glowering eyes. Mny had already fallen to his blade but for each Orc that fell, two took its place. Soon he was surrounded, and did what he could only do.
"Go!" he shouted to Saelweth, who had miraculously managed to stay put on her mount. "Run!" Legolas' blows were becoming more desperate, and he inhaled sharply as an orc-blade cut into his thigh, a shallow but long wound.
