Unless you're a good customizer I wouldn't use dye right out of the gate. I'd start with just plain old acrylic paint or airbrush paint.

I've used acrylics for customizing before and it turned out quite well. ^^

I use acrylics for all my customs. Takes a bit of getting used to when it's painting small stuff (like blind bags) but practice makes perfect!

My Japanese classes both in the states and Japan required taking calligraphy, so I used my experience from that for painting eyelashes and teeny cutie marks.

But but but it was so easy in the video. I just can't get it to stick to the pony, there is some sealant over it - it only sticks to the cuts in the neck.

Anyone have a faviorite MLP:FIM antagonist?

Yes, I like Queen Chrysalis. I love her song and I love how she can shapeshift.

My favorite villains are Discord and Chrysalis - but not as a couple. Ew. *shivers* Sorry, just can't imagine that.
Discord is very funny; he has an excellent sense of humor. I love how he just likes to poke fun at ponies; and he wants to take over Equestria, but I honestly don't mind him wrecking "chaos", because it's just for fun. REAL chaos would be buildings falling over, the ground cracking and splitting, oceans flooding....stuff like the "end of the world" stuff I read and watch a lot. So, he really doesn't cause pure chaos, per say, but I guess it's just a fun kind of chaos. I love his evil laugh; I hope he wins the "most evil laugh" in the Naughty or Nice Awards.
Chrysalis is a complex and amazing character. I really love her design, and her determination to take over Equestria. She's a changeling - one of my favorite mythological creatures. I love how they could be anyone you pass on the street, and you wouldn't even know it was them. You wouldn't even know it was a changeling, unless you knew them personally, and noticed something wasn't quite right. Just like Twilight did with Chrysalis.
She really doesn't have a sense of humor, but that's okay. It'd be kinda weird of she did. I can just imagine a Discord personality in her body....that'd be...strange, to say the least. O.o
I love her laugh; but not quite as much as Discord's. X)
My least favorite is Sombra, because he really had no backstory. I wish I knew why he had such a grudge against everypony in the Crystal Empire; and how did he come to power? Who was in charge before him? There's really no information about why and how he really wanted and planned to take power again; or how he did so in the beginning. I thought he looked kinda stupid, as well. I just didn't like his design. So, yeah. I really don't like Sombra. All he really did was growl, and when he wasn't growling....he didn't have very many lines. Not his fault, but Hasbro's. Still, I wish they'd given him more air-time.


Random Observation:
"King" Sombra, "Queen" Chrysalis, "Prince" Shining Armor, "Prince" Blueblood, "Princess" Cadance, "Princess" Luna, "Princess" Celestia. Why do the villains have "King" and "Queen" in front of their names, but the good guys only have "Prince" and "Princess"? (With the exclusion of Blueblood. He's not really GOOD, per say.)

I prefer King Sombra over boring ol Discord. Sombra has a delicious voice and it is a shame he didn't get to speak more where as Discord couldn't shut his trap fast enough

I do admit that Discord was a little too cocky for his own good, perhaps if he planned things more accordingly (Sounds so un-chaotic doesn't it? ) he wouldn't be trapped right now... Oh well, at least he and Pinkie Pie are hosting the Naughty and Nice Awards. >:3
I agree about King Sombra; I loved his voice and I hope to see just a teeny bit more of him later in the series. c:

Now...about the whole hosting thing....he's in stone. He's TRAPPED. (NOOOO! I want him out and wreaking more chaos! ) But seriously. He's trapped. How is he going to get out? How will he host if he's trapped in stone?
Eh. I liked how cocky he was. But I agree. Should've had more planning. Perhaps he would've actually survived; and not gotten beaten by the elements.

I would love to see more of Sombra as well.

Sombra's before Chrysalis because I thought he had a special touch to himself! Discord's theme was chaos and Sombra's is capturing your fear and planting it on you. He uses yourself against you, so he doesn't do anything at all. I find that pretty clever, I just really want some more action from him.

Oh, and apparently I'm Discord according to a personality test! >:3

Sombra is a pretty cool character, but I'm upset he didn't come back/talk/give more of a personality, voice or anything to the watchers like Discord did. I kind of like Chrysalis, but she's the same as all the villains -.-
