The Indian stepped toward them. Bird stood up and bolted to him. The Indian crouched beside her and scratched her neck softly.
Comet made no sound as the wind was knocked out of him.

Akira smiled and kept eating.
Vitani froze for a second and then turned her head away from him and sneezed.
Raven nodded and picked up the vole she had caught. She backed up and gulped it down hungrily.
Crow's ears flicked and he padded forward slowly, stopping a little ways away from the pair. He sat down and watched Bird, keeping an eye on the Indian warrily.
