“No,” Luna said softly, sighing and pausing before she continued: “My dad woke us both up in the middle of the night. Said he had a mission for Bee. And of course, he had to go.” The teen girl sighed again. She didn’t include the fact that, after Bumblebee had left, Luna had tried to sleep and ended up having nightmares. It was the same as every other time her guardian left. Luna knew it was ridiculous, but she couldn’t help it.

“Anyway, what song are you playing?” Luna stabbed at changing the subject. She didn’t want to be haunted by the fact that Bumblebee was gone while she was awake, too. Luna was eager to distract herself from it, too.

Even if she sucked at Guitar Hero.

Gabrielle and Razor glanced at each other. They knew she must be feeling upset being separated from Bee. What Luna didn't know was they knew about the nightmares; that's what happens when you wake up at night and go looking for a snack. “Well, I just finished 'bye bye babylon', so how about we play Fireflies?” Gabrielle said as Razor walked over to the food bar and brought back some for Luna.

“Sounds good to me,” Luna replied as she took the handful of granola bars from Razor Wing with a smile, ripping one open and cramming half of it into her mouth. The hybrid girl jumped from the couch then, picking up the other guitar.

“Which part do you want to play?” She asked Ella smoothly. Fireflies was one of the few songs that she could almost any part with, even the singing. Luna was lucky Gabrielle liked it so much.

In the back of her mind, however, Luna still felt Bumblebee‘s absence like it was a dagger stabbing into her back. That was one of the downfalls of being someone‘s soul mate--you always knew when they were gone, whether you could sense it directly, feel uneasy, have bouts of nausea, et cetera.. Thankfully, Luna had the first, but no matter what it still caused some pain. Again, though, she tried to brush it away to replace it with a mask of a smile.

“How about the singing part? I just did the guitar.” Gabrielle replied after smirking at Luna for her way of eating. Razor leaned back into the couch with a smirk. “Try not to break anything, you two.” Razor teased. Gabrielle stuck her tong at her then turned back to Luna. While the two talked, Razor was thinking about how she hoped Bee would come back soon; for both mates sake. Razor herself knew what it felt like to find your sparkmate and then had to be separated from him. She just hoped she and Gabrielle could help their normally more perky friend keep her mind off Bee. Though she doubted it.

“That’s fine with me,” Luna replied to Gabrielle, smiling a little bit before shoving the rest of the granola bar into her mouth. She put down the guitar and instead pulled out the mike, all the while chomping on the remnants of her breakfast at top speed, swallowing before the song started:

“You would not believe your eyes if ten million fireflies lit up the world as I fell asleep…” Luna’s voice was contrastingly feminine when she sang, and it carried very well. She’d always enjoyed singing every since she was old enough to recognize words. The girl actually cherished language, knowing it was very powerful, and loved to manipulate it through poetry or songs. It actually made her feel better about Bumblebee’s absence, too, since she had planned on blaring music in her quarters anyway. The only difference was that Luna had planned on some Linkin Park and Gabrielle made sure she instead listened to some cheery Owl City.

Maybe, Luna thought, I’ll listen to that album instead today. She didn’t realize it but Gabrielle and Razor Wing were good medicine for her depression.

“I got to make myself believe, that planet earth turns slow-ly. Its hard to say I rather stay awake while I'm asleep; but everything is never as it seems.” Gabrielle sang along with Luna, both in perfect pitch. Gabrielle knew that she was helping Luna feel better but the day was still young. The good thing is, she and Razor were free for the day and could stay with Luna for as long as she'd like. As the song finished, Gabrielle turned to Luna. “That was fun.”

“Yep,” Luna replied happily, “And now, I am going to get food. You want some?” One of the downfalls of being a hybrid was that Luna (and her twin, of course) had a massive required calorie intake. Human could be pleased with two granola bars as a snack. Luna, however, would eat two granola bars, four pickles, two strawberry jam sandwiches, and a cup of ramen. As a snack. Luckily enough, though, she could eat whatever she wanted and still burn it off, keeping around a healthy 120 pounds.

The girl then dashed to the food bar, selecting a couple of items to munch on. She couldn’t help but wonder how Bumblebee was fairing on his mission, though Luna pushed it from her mind before it could bring her down again. She was planning on enjoying this day with Razor Wing and Gabrielle instead of having a bad mood about something she couldn’t control.

“Yes I do.” Gabrielle walked behind Luna then grabbed some cereal. As she got ready to eat and watched Luna choose her meal, she laughed. “Sometimes I wonder how someone so skinny could eat so much; as a snack.” Gabrielle teased as Razor had some energon. “But then again, I know you and the fact that skinny girls like us can stay skinny no matter what.” She then pretended to show of her muscles in her arms, what little of them there was, and did some lameish grunts.
